Alright, so, virgin bisexual teen here, and I plan on heading into a Lovers Lane sometime tomorrow, parents are both working and I have the day off. Anything I can expect going into a public store as a teen buying a dildo? Anything I can use as a cover? Advice in general? thanks in advance!

Buy some sunglasses before you go in aha. Just a guess, but you may be better off if you ask the clerk for assistance than to browse endlessly.

honestly everyone in there is there for the same reason you are, so don't even worry about a cover.

No one cares who you are in there. Seriously. Just like the clerk at Wal-Mart doesn't care who you are, the sex shop workers are just as bored.

That said, they're also very knowledgeable. So, if you do a little research beforehand, go into it with at least an idea of what you're looking for, talk to them. They can recommend things and offer advice, along with tips on things you've probably not thought of.

    General Advice:

Go slow. Take your time, ease into everything. It's not a race.

Use plenty of lube. This will make things much, MUCH easier, and far more enjoyable.

If you don't use a condom over the toy, make sure you wash it thoroughly before and after. Just use some warm NOT HOT water and hand soap, and wash it up. Dry it off before storing.

When storing, keep it in a cool, dry place. This is slightly less important if you buy glass, but as it's your first time you'll probably want to go with silicone gel to start with. Much more forgiving, and nicer to work with.

Honestly, most of this stuff you can find with a quick google search.

Ask the people that work there tons of questions. Yes, you will feel awkward, but usually the people that work at most sex shops are people who are passionate and knowledgeable about sex toys.

They can guide you through materials, how you want to use the sex toys, cleaning them safely, and any other question that you might have.

Seriously, these people have seen it all, and many of them have done it all. So ask away!

    That and have fun!
