    I was in the same boat after 22 years. I finally admitted to myself that I was gay. I came out to my wife . I am so happy, I have been dating my boyfriend for 16 months and we just got engaged two weeks ago.

    I empathise and echo so much of what has been said so far. For me, I had build big mental walls to try and hold my homosexual urges at bay, and I got pretty good at passing. Since those walls came down, the inner battle is gone and it all just seems natural, as others have said. I certainly won't be rebuilding those walls, once was a mistake and enough.

    I have no desire to live another lie just because society is more comfortable with hetero relationships.
