He bailed two hours before the date. He offered an excuse and different day. Then he started sounding wishy-washy for that day.

It was practice asking a guy out I guess :call_me:

I’m thinking about the bugs I keep finding. There was the monster spider on our kitchen floor that was the biggest spider I’d seen in my life. Then yesterday I found a slug on the kitchen floor. It wasn’t too surprising, I’ve found slugs several times in the utility room and this slug was an inch from that door. I only picked it up and threw it in the bin because they’re dangerous to dogs.

It never ceases to amaze me how the universe works. Every experience I have (more so the positive ones - I’m usually too busy crying over the negative ones to really glean anything…) reinforces my belief that anything we go through shapes us and we always land where we need to be.

My side gig baking for a local cafe is taking off like a wildfire in a drought. This opportunity came to me via the guy who broke my heart’s sister. I’m more tired than I’ve ever been, but I’m, at this moment, actually happy.

All week I’ve been doubting, self-loathing, and pretty depressed, but today it feels like the clouds are parting. I just wanted to document the joy to savor on a bad day. And to spread the positive vibes to anyone who might need them today.

Thanks so much! It was absolutely divine to have everything back to normal. I'm just glad that one's over. Having a hot drink like coffee, apple-cinnamon flavored hibiscus tea, and my green tea felt amazing too.

In other news: Happy first day of fall to all who live in the northern hemisphere and happy first day of spring to our friends in the southern hemisphere! May the season be filled with love, joy, and all the best life has to offer. Cheers everyone!

"Oh, just one more thing," probably the most recognisable phrase written and spoken.

The moment I stepped into a man's world I got discriminated for my age for just because of identifying as a man online and I'm only 32. I feel like this can get problematic, if I'm not careful. This is something new for me to have to deal with. I feel like this is why I wouldn't get hired either. It's hard finding your place like this. I feel like I don't know how to be an adult.

I'm screaming "V for VICTORY!" right now. I WROTE today, for the first time in months! It wasn't a lot - I finished drafting a chapter - but it means I'm one step closer to finishing this [censored] erotica story and getting on with the next book in the series.

It feels good to be back in the groove again. I'd continue but my son will be home at any minute, and I can't write with him bouncing around the house like a squirrel who drank ten pots of coffee... Yikes.

I hope I won't get sick. I don't want too. I'm too busy for that. My throat already hurts.

I'm thinking about my grandmother's house. I haven't been inside it since it was sold in 1997. I passed by and saw it was for sale today.

Would it be totally weird of me to schedule a viewing just to take a look around?

I’d say go for it. It’s probably not like the current owners know that you’re the grandchild of the previous owner, that is, if you’ll even meet them and not the real estate agent.
Who knows, maybe it’s your last chance to do so

    Thanks!

    Doooooooooo eeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

I'm looking ahead to October and we have a lot of things happening that month. Eye appointments, other medical things, meetings at my son's school, a four day weekend for the kids in our district, Truth and Reconciliation Day, Trick or Treating, and so much more. I'm exhausted just looking at our schedule for next month.

Kinda scared of meeting the person who will bring tthe rental contract and key for my new apartment tomorrow. And even more scared of potentially seeing scary insects when moving stuff out of my old room :frowning2:

I’m thinking I need to beat the crap out of the fire alarm, it keeps letting out random beeps and buzzing and I can’t put up with that all night. Not to mention it drives the dog crazy too. I had my dad storming into my bedroom while I’m trying to sleep, demanding I handle my dog while having his cochlear implant off so he couldn’t hear the fire alarm or me trying to explain why the dog was going crazy and I couldn’t stop her.

    Sounds like it's going well!

Ugh. I'm so bored of the job search. I hope I find something soon, I want out.

Another month, another tropical cyclone is on the way. This time it's Phillipe, but it looks like it will be making landfall in Maine or western New Brunswick. I hope we don't get much out of it. It's Indigenous Day weekend (technically Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday, I celebrate Indigenous Day instead, due to being part Indigenous Canadian), and I'd like to have electricity. Of course, it's my husband's weekend to work, like it was when Hurricane Lee hit us. I'm grateful I know how to use the generator so we can charge my son's electronics and my phone, and make hot drinks and food if we want them. I am so done with hurricane season, and we have eight weeks left, but that does not stop tropical cyclones from forming. Climate change is real, and annoying as heck.
