Hahah it was the worst when you JUST miss out on making it into the castle and the drawbridge goes up and then.. the stalchildren ;~; Although, the worst bits were the ones with those damn ReDead... Especially when you don't have the sun's song!

Whoops, I've done that on forums before!

It does sound sooo awesome, I'm really looking forwards to playing it! I'm playing Kingdoms of Amalur at the moment though, another reeaaallly good RPG. I haven't played Fallout, but I have played Skyrim (and Morrowind and Oblivion). I much preferred Oblivion over Skyrim, but Skyrim was still a great experience. A Hat in Time is a platformer game very similar to Super Mario 64. It's its own game, though, and brings a lot of new things to the genre. I absolutely adored the second and third worlds.

Oo you're almost through! Have you seen Broadchurch?

Well, I can't figure out how to edit my post. I also can't figure out how to reply to your post on my profile! I'm reduced to this double-posting plea for help! Hahaha! Maybe my account needs to be a bit older, or maybe I'm just having trouble with my vision.

I had a look at A Hat in Time earlier, it looks really cute and colourful!

Aw man Fallout 3 is one of my absolute favourites, such an amazing game.

Seen the first Season of Broadchurch, but none of the following ones. It was very good, great story and brilliant acting. I love a good gritty cop drama, Line Of Duty and Luther are others that I would highly recommend if you've not watched them already!

The Fallout series is on my list as well! Haha I have such a long line up. Have you played Dragon Age? The first one is my favourite.

The second season of Broadchurch is amazing and well worth watching if you have the time! Luther and Line of Duty do look very interesting. Broadchurch is the only of its sort I've ever watched, but I'm now sorely tempted to watch these two...

Oh man you HAVE to watch both! Line of Duty is probably the best out of the two, it has 4 seasons but Luther is so good too. I'm convinced if you liked Broadchurch then I'm sure these two will take your fancy. I'm pretty sure they were both on Netflix in the UK not so long ago, unsure if it will be the same over where you are.

I was basically up until 2am binge watching Jessica Jones last night. Oops.

Dragon Age is on my list too! So many games, so little time!

They are both on there I had a look! I will start with Line of Duty, then. Or maybe I'll be terrible and watch them both at the same time, I'm already watching about 4 or 5 things at the same time haha... Rewatching Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who, Star Trek TNG, and Orange is the New Black... And watching The 100 and Jessica Jones (ofc) for the first time. Okay that's 6. Well 8 now if I add your two!

2am is totally worth it. You can do better, I know! Try for 3am tonight. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I'm gonna have to do a binge to catch up to you!

    Woah multi-binge, that's impressive!

I wish I could stay up for 3am later but it won't be pretty when I have to be in work for 8am! :expressionless::cry:

@Welshgirl For some reason I can't reply to your post on my profile again! I'll wait until it lets me again? Haha this is so weird...
Thanks! Welcome as well, then. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I love fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure. At the moment I'm reading The Medoran Chronicles, and I'm about to reread Earthsea. I think I enjoyed reading the Fablehaven series the most, though! Another one I particularly enjoyed was The Dark is Rising series. What about you, what do you enjoy reading?

Hey @Laplacian no worries, I almost feel like the system is giving us a major eye-roll with the amount we're nerding out so just stops it once in while haha.

I've just finished Turtles All The Way Down and The Book Of Lost Things - both great reads. Currently reading Mr Rmanov's Garden In The Sky.

They sound like good reads from the blurbs, I haven't them myself (yet) though.

Hello! It's starting to cool down here, I would appreciate it if you took your cold back!

    Hey @Laplacian,

I was actually side-tacked by the military. I’m not currently in any Physics field directly now.:slight_frown:

At one point, I was hoping to go into high energy astrophysics (by training, I am a nuclear physicist), so I’m glad you’ve got a foot in the door and I wish you all the best with that, if it is something that truly interests you!

There are also a lot of prospects in the quantum field, too, of course. You sound a little confused, though, about whether you would prefer a career more on the experimental side or the theoretical side. QCD is clearly theoretical at this point. The majority of theoretical physics jobs are within academia or government-financed opportunities.

Regardless, I wish you all the best in your future! My main advice would be to do what you have to do to be successful, but always try to focus on the goal of doing what you love about being an Astrophysicist!
