Atreyu from 'The NeverEnding Story', I remember the first time I watched it I got butterflies when he came onto screen. I think I was 7, or 8 maybe 9.. lmao
This is exactly what has happened to me over time too. It was a very slow, gradual realisation. Even as a kid I remember I hated all the boybands and was obsessed with the Spice Girls and All Saints. I can't believe how long it took me to figure everything out.
For me it seemed to be a general realisation over time. But I think the first major one I remember (besides finding Aladdin attractive) was watching Stand By Me when I was 11 or 12 and I totally fell in love with River Phoenix's character. I desperately wanted a best friend like that and I really wanted to hug him in that scene where he cried. Then I started to get a bit obsessed with River and tried to see as many films of his as possible and found him loveable in every one I saw (was devastated when I found out he had died.) Anyway River was my first crush (hence my avatar).
While I wouldn't say these men/movies made me realize I'm bisexual, they definitely put men on my radar: "High School Musical" Zac Efron definitely caught my attention. "She's The Man" So many scenes with shirtless dudes in it (and Channing Tatum in general), it became one of my favorites to rewatch several times. Star Wars prequels. I really had the hots for Ewan McGregor AND Hayden Christensen (and Natalie Portman as well, but this was really more about the men) Bridge to Terabithia. Me and Josh Hutcherson are close in age, and at the time I first saw it when I was younger, I found him really attractive in this movie. Hunger Games just added on to that.
haha I had that same feeling about Atreyu as well as anything with Jonathan Taylor Thomas in it. I was also around 7-9 years old, so I knew that I enjoyed looking at them, I just did not know why I enjoyed looking at them yet.
