My dad is 60 and he's not too old yet. I'd say that youth or oldness is more or less subjective and you aren't necessarily one or the other. Neuroplasticity When I'm his age, I'll be in better shape and feel a lot younger than he does. Hopefully something to repel Alzheimer's has been invented by then because I feel like my dad is showing symptoms now and I don't want to be like that at 60.
Hmmmm...I'm 46 and don't feel old. I guess for me, old means 70s or 80s. But, I have met a few "young" 80 year olds...
who is retiring in their forties  hell, who is retiring in their fifties  we must be in different social classes
Yea but that's so stupid! I mean cmon there's people in there 100s now those people have to worry about no longer being the youngest person because there isn't anyone! ---------- Post added 4th Aug 2015 at 01:21 PM ---------- No foz when I'm in my 20s I will still be young and I will still consider myself to be young whether you like it or not!
I'm 51I know I'm getting older, however I refuse to get OLD. I do as much today if not more than I did when I was 25. I'm up by 6:30 am and usually go to bed around 1am with a full day in between. As far as having a good time and partying. Just tell me where and I will out last you youngsters.
I might joke about being old, but I don't feel old. Maybe I'll call myself old if I lose most of my vitality. And there are other reasons why I need to stay fit; for example, sometimes my sleep paralysis renders me incapable of breathing for 2 minutes. For other people, well, I consider them old when/if they're usually allergic to fun.
A person is old when they're no longer growing, changing, evolving, being open minded, accepting, tolerant, understanding, compassionate, generous & having diverse interests. That can happen at any age.
it deepends on how old the people around you are. As a teacher you will feel old very early. as a undergraduate you won't. (so hope you are of the second kind:icon_wink) but even if you are not, as long as you are having fun and are a bit crazy ...
12-17 - want to get old 18-24 - happy where they are and sometimes still want to get old. 25-39 - happy where they are and sometimes want to get young. 40-59 - want to get young again. 60+ - want to remarry a young person. 80+ - either want to live longer or to die early In my opinion.
