I think im going to re-examine myself and actually discover who I am and who I like. Don't want rush into putting a label on myself.
We're down 4:1 and the stupid game still has a half hour left to run. And our goalkeeper is being stupid. We just lost our first competitive match of the season. -- EDIT: We're now down 5:1. We've never lost this bad as long as I've been a fan of this team.
I haven't been active on EC in quite a while and for that I am sorry. Times have changed and I no longer derive any pleasure from this website. Thank you all for your support and for the good times I had here. I've moved on but I can never forget how important Empty Closets was to me. blah blah blah more sappy nonsense. Thanks again, and goodbye for an indefinite length of time. -Andrew
I went to talk to my crush to tell him my grandpa has cancer. He started talking about how he's going to ask someone out tomorrow. The girl he has a crush on is someone I hate. So that pissed me off. On top of that, I couldn't ruin his for once self-confident mood by telling him about my grandpa's cancer so I didn't. And we only talked for five minutes. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. Great.
I legit don't understand how it is the same people who complain about the "failed war on drugs" and wish to legalize all drugs who also think that we need to have a war on guns and ban all guns.....
Just went to see Counterparts and Senses Fail. Awesome. The singer from Senses Fail held a speech about how he came out as queer and how we should end heteronormativity in hardcore music and now he's my new favourite frontman. Also just got an e-mail saying I won tickets for Speedy Ortiz, who are playing here tomorrow. Going to a concert two days in a row, I'm not complaining.
I have to stop myself from listening to new music all the time. I already have a really long list of albums that I want to buy, adding more to it doesn't help me. I need money...
The Canadian federal election is becoming more interesting with each passing day. Ever since the start of the election, the three main political parties have been neck and neck in opinion polling; although the New Democrats have fallen behind a few percentage points behind the other two parties, they still could end up playing a significant role in the next parliament. At this point, no party has enough support to win enough seats to form a majority government. If this holds till election day, it could make for an interesting time in Canadian politics....
Only the fringiest of the fringe wants to ban guns altogether. What we Democrats actually want are sensible laws and regulations that will make it much harder for mentally ill lunatics to get their hands on a firearm. As for drugs, we see that the war on drugs has been a colossal failure, and that treating it as a public health issue instead of a criminal offense has yielded lower drug abuse rates. ---------- Post added 4th Oct 2015 at 06:37 PM ---------- This is a good point, and from what I've read of him on the subject of a minority government, I think Tom Mulcair is living in a dream land. Mulcair says that he won't even consider a coalition with the Liberals, and then went and said "There's no way in hell we'd support Stephen Harper." Then Trudeau says that he wouldn't entertain the idea of a coalition with the NDP. Why wouldn't you? That's your chance to take out their hated opponent. Well when you come in third place, you don't get to play that game. From what I understand of the parliamentary system, it's either form a coalition in that case or allow Harper to continue governing for another two years.
I just told a friend that I was gay and his response was "Awesome, so are you coming to visit me or what." Thank you friend for being so nonchalantly supportive.
My throat has been sore since last night, have a stuffy nose, and getting chills. When your weather goes from 81 to 44 in 6 days, your body goes bezerk.
