I know, right?! From everyone's victories to the congrats on the victories, it just makes my heart all warm and fluffy. I (re-)read this thread everyday to ground myself that progress is happening, that it's a transition & not a race, and that there are honestly warm-hearted people all over the world who care for each other. How awesome is that?

Now that I think of it... that's a victory too! :icon_bigg

The purpose of this thread was to enjoy the small things and successes. There were wayyyyy too many dysphoria and complaining threads (not that they don't have a place), but we needed some sunshine as it were.

Glad this thread brings a small amount of joy and camaraderie to the forum.

Not a race? That's what you think! I bet I'll get a vag and tits before all of you!

In all seriousness, though--a couple of days ago, I got a bundle of papers in the mail that gave me a couple of more appointments to the gender identity team, so now I've actually got rolling appointments throughout the foreseeable future so I'm finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere.

As a plus, they also informed me that they're moving locations and their new location is waaaay more convenient for me.

So I posted this in another area, but seeing this thread made me want to share it all over again here. I don't know if it's appropriate to post a link, here's the whole post again:

Yay! I was gendered correctly on the phone when I was putting on my lower guy voice which I still do instinctively when I'm speaking on the phone. That's actually both weird and amazing, it hasn't happened to me since I was 19 or so. I was so surprised that I nearly corrected her and then I felt stupid and became all excited and happy. I've been working on my voice for nearly a year so it is really encouraging. :astonished:

I don't know what that is, Eveline. I recently tried to femme up when meeting my parents - the waiter called me a boy. I was wering a feminine sweater and make-up, with lipstick. I have no idea. I recently always pass as male when I try to femme it up XD

Felt like a beautiful flower. But deadly.

Met a number of trans people there and was properly gendered by public and my friend who didn't slip at all that day.

So decided to go the most fem iv been in a while and spent yesterday and today at school dressed in my favorite leggings, booties, light blue hoodie, and some nice glossy-ish purple painted nails (something iv been seriously enjoying toying around with weeks earlier!)

No rude comments at all! No one really seemed to mind or even take notice. Got a few stares from people every now and then but they weren't out of dislike or hatred. More just general curiosity.

You know, being accepted in that way made me feel REALLY happy on the way home. I mean, iv been out in woman's semi-skinny jeans before but nothing on this level. I can't explain it,just the fact no one seemed to mind kinda made me feel like i partially (?) passed in a small and strange way.
    ----------------------------------------------------

On a side note: I allways end up seeing my other female classmates wear these nice shirts, cute booties \ sandals or whatever and i just wish i had the nerve to go up and ask where they got them or what brand x_x. But no, of course that would be strange to them (to the public eye at least).

Huh, guess i need to work on that.

Yesterday, on the bus, somebody called me "son". I wasn't even making my usual hard effort to present as male! I was just in a baggy T-shirt and trousers. Still, a lady offering me her bus ticket when I couldn't find mine called me "son".

Believe me, other girls love when you ask them about their clothes or shoes and such.

Yesterday, I came out to my entire Trial Lawyers College class (it was an intensive 3-week course with ~80 people I completed 2 years ago and made many good friends at)!

The emails of support have been flooding in, like this one:

    or this one...

    Hugs to you all!!

    That's amazing! (*hug*)

It shows how much you touch the lives of those that you've met and how much they care about you. You are so brave and we are all looking forward to seeing you grow like your friends are. x

    Major victory today.

I have my unofficial notice of rehire and tenure. Job security and biggest hurdle to being out and transitioning permanently.

Read some pretty damn big victories on this thread, congrats all

Mine's a prety small one but I suppose it counts. Got some new clothes today and they feel great. Course it was not easy hunting down XXS sizes of men's clothing with styles that suit me, but I did find two nice shirts in the end which I got at a pretty good price.
