    Welcome. Loner here as well. I only have one friend as I suffer from social anxiety and I have a hard time keeping a conversation with people

    Hi ChalrlesOn, and welcome to ec. :wave: I am much older than yourself, in fact I have a daughter who is your age, anyway when I was your age I was just the same. I wanted to say that, when you find people you have things in common with, that you can break through some of the loneliness, a little at time if need be, which is how I, even at my age, take things. I'm still a bit of a loner, even at 45, although I don't feel bad about it anymore; I have found that in my particular case, I have a need for a bit of solitude, I kind of return to it to get my mind clearer about things. But I'm also training myself to open up to others more, a little at a time, and am finding that making connections with like-minded people is really enhancing my life. I wish this for you also. :slight_smile:
