Is it possible to take only a very low amount of female hormone so the changes are not too drastic? Does it make the penis shrink? Does it change the genitals in anyway? Is it the female hormone that makes boobs grow? And if so, is there anyway to "decide" to size or the breast? (like low amount = smaller breast, high amount = bigger breast) I wanna know all they is to know about it... thx!
Not entirely sure about the first question. I think it might just be slower to develop if you take smaller amounts. I think it just makes your flaccid size smaller, but erect size will stay same. (I think) Breast size will likely be one cup less than female relatives. Stopping it early would only halt it in the middle of development (If I understand it right)
Technically, yes but you don't get to decide which changes occur. Over time, it causes testicular atrophy, reduced sperm production/ sterility, and erectile dysfunction. No. Only by stopping HRT can you control breast development. Depending upon age at the start of HRT and genetics, breast size will vary but a good "rule of thumb" is to size down a cup or two from your closest female-bodied relatives (mother, sisters).
I'm just concerned about how drastic the changes would be. If someone want to look a little bit more feminine.. can they take just a little bit of female hormone? Without wanting to become a female ? ---------- Post added 3rd Jun 2014 at 03:29 PM ---------- So.... if a male bodies person still want to have a very functional penis and erection... HRT is not a good idea?
Well... it's not really the hormones that make the woman but that aside, if you want to look more feminine but not grow breasts/ have problems with your sexual anatomy/ reproduction, I would not recommend HRT. Other ways exists to feminize ones appearance without the use of HRT. If you could elaborate on specifically which feminine features you're wanting, I might be able to offer better advice.
I'll look up the source tonight and post it. It's a general rule but it's affected by age and other biological factors. ---------- Post added 3rd Jun 2014 at 02:37 PM ---------- I make it my business to read as much about medical transition as possible.
I think Holly's asking how do I know my mother's cup size? Answer: Exactly how you think most girls with access to their mother's clothes would know this. :rolle: ---------- Post added 3rd Jun 2014 at 04:46 PM ---------- Be just my luck to go from not enough to too much. :rolle:
Girls are such strange, mystical creatures... ---------- Post added 3rd Jun 2014 at 03:20 PM ---------- ^ also, oof, just ooof, she and Angelina Jolie, just oof...
Thing is, it's not something you have a lot of control over. Hormones will do whatever they feel like doing and you can't change it, so if your lover has specific ideas of what they want to achieve, hormones probably aren't going to do it...
Well, is there something specific that they want to achieve? And do they want to transition? Is it them who cares about the effects of HRT or is this something that you were hoping for them to retain? Just trying to get a better picture of the situation.
