Your Fantasy Game Character Class

I almost always play as an archer, sneaky/thief, or if possible (like in Elder Scrolls) a hybrid of those.

 

usually a "Deeps" lol DPS or DD, mainly physical, though I do enjoy throwing a few spells around from time to time.
I will also do a tank job, nothing like showing the world women can wear heavier armor =p

I am also drawn to any class that totes a high HP pool, idk why lol

 

I can relate to that, especially the tank-y/heal-y hybrid types. The "you can't end me no matter what you do" mentality.

 

Sword and board warrior. The more armor/defense the better.

 

It usually depends on the sort of combat. But most of the time I go sneaky thief, if the combat doesn't flow well according to me I'll just go warrior. I try to get into mages but never really have. Maybe I should do a mage during a first play through of a game instead of leaving it for last, shrug.

DA:O Thief, Elder Scrolls Thief, KOA:R Warrior, Fable Warrior, Etc.

I always do another play through of course, as another class.

 

I'm a versatile player, but I mostly like to play as mages. I love playing a supporting/defensive role, too bad most games are all about killing the most enemies and having the highest strength.

 

I like hybrid classes... In the Elder Scrolls I like to play as a Spellsword - In Skyrim one hand always has some magic, the other has a sword.

If I had to choose from the poll, though, I'd pick thief.

 

Thief/Archer

 

I always try to play fighter/thief. Depending on the game I'll pick one class and then try to build up my levels in the other's skills. The only problem is the fact that thieves always need light armour, or none at all. Not practical for rushing head first into battle!

 

Always something related to magic. If there's a possibility for a lich or some undead magician I always pick them.

 

Playing hammer warrior was my favorite on GW1, and warrior class is my favorite overall because it might seem like a "noob" class but I like playing it with area-control and style thus making it looks like a smooth samorai moves 8)

I also like rangers, my 2nd favorite!

Then monks...

And casters last, at least in online gaming, because they usually just shoot spells from afar ... chickens!

I always go for the magical character class, and then double down on the magic whenever possible. If I have to hybrid then I will usually look at another magical character class as the secondary, but failing that I go for the sneaky / rogue option.

In groups, I prefer to play with defensive magic, but I'm not opposed to becoming a glass canon, either. It depends on the game, and the amount of downtime I'd face. The more downtime you force on me for going all out with my magic offensively, the more I will lean toward support and defense. If I can get back into the fight relatively quickly, I'll try to go for a balance of defense and offense if possible. Though that depends on the group and their capabilities, as I will usually mold my character to leverage the power of the group. (Example: If there is a strong DPS Fighter / Rogue type in the group, and I can enhance him with my magic - that's what I'll do, and then support with the remaining offensive capabilities to take things down faster.)

 

Hey pet peeve here.

If anyone tanks or knows a tank... Tell them to taunt for the love of god.

Sorry I'm just pissed about the 3 crummy tanks I had in FF14 earlier today.

On behalf of all tanks... I apologise for the grievous error. Maybe they were new or lazy. I've never played FF14. It's my job to take aggro. If enemies are attacking my party... I'm probably doing it wrong!

I much prefer parties that work together for TEAM WINS. Its usually new damage dealers that get under my skin. If you don't have the defense/HP... please don't stay in the line of fire 24/7! There's usually no need to rush. It's annoying to watch people get themselves killed again and again.

 

I almost always gravitate towards playing archer/thief classes because of their fast attacks and evasion skills. I also play other classes as well but those two are definitely my favorites.

Battlemage: Spellcaster in heavy armour
or a Stealthy mage.

Though i like the Crossbows in Skyrim.

My Archer/Rouge character in Skyrim is also a werewolf so that if My sneaking fails I can still defend my self as a werewolf.

 

the only fantasy game i've played (yet) where you can choose between different character classes is FEA, in which Manaketes are my favorite class

 

If the mage or any other variation of this class appears in a game, I'll definitely use that one. I love magic!!!!
