Rednex, Boney M, ModernTalking, Queen, Nirvana . Anyway, I loved rock. Later I was obsessed with Brenda Asnicar because I had a huge crush on her. I'm really embarrassed now lol. Later Avril Lavigne.. I still love her. -.- ugh.

I was brought up surrounded by a lot of manufactured pop music like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dione, Lionel Richie etc... and a lot of MOR music like Westlife which probably explains why I rebelled against all of that and how now I generally only listen to shoegaze, EDM and alternative rock which are more or less the complete opposites of the music I had forced upon me.

I remember mostly classic rock, folk, blues, etc played around the house. Hippie stuff such as Santana and Deep Purple ha... I remember dancing in my pyjamas to it in the garden on chilly summer nights and I still love it. Yet my grandparents played tons of classical pieces I loved too.

In our house it was mostly classic rock and blues music that was being played:

Deep purple, ac/dc, black Sabbath (with Ronnie Dio), whitesnake, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, cream, led Zeppelin, bb king.

Anything like that went in our house and it still does to this day. I'm quite thankful to my parents for broadening my tastes in music!

I grew up listening to various music. A lot of rock, but also norwegian artists and lots of 90s and 80s music. And my mom also listened to pop.

I used to listen a lot to pop, but lately i`m just listening to rock and metal.

Never thought I'd encounter another person whom had heard of (the late) Gary Moore, let alone be a fan of his! At least here in the States, he might as well be Johann Heinrich Schmelzer for how (inexplicably) obscure he is. Anyway, my dad and brother are both huge fans of his music (especially his solo rock)!

Mostly classic rock. Lots of Pink Floyd and Beatles from my dad, and Queen, Boston and Styx from my mom.
I also kinda went through a phase in elementary school where I liked country music a lot.

I grew up on a lot of classic rock, like: The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Styx, ACDC, etc...

I also grew up on some grunge/nu metal/alternative rock, like: Nirvana, Incubus, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Evanescence, Paramore, KoRn, Panic! At the Disco, Coldplay, etc...

Of course, I'm from Hotlanta, so I grew up with some hip-hop/rap as well, like: OutKast, Gnarls Barkley, Destiny's Child, Jay-Z, Eminem (NOT a fan of his homophobic lyrics), Usher, Kanye West, etc...

I also grew up listening to a lot from Gorillaz, but I don't really know what catagory they fall into.

My mom's music tastes are very bipolar and mine are pretty much the same as hers.

My dad exposed me to mostly classic rock and stuff he grew up with while I listened to whatever was on the radio in the early 2000s. I think the only band I listened to alot back then that survived the gradual transition to my current taste is Linkin Park

House music of the late 90s and early 2000s - such as 'Another Chance' by Roger Sanchez and 'Music Sounds Better with You' by Stardust. The video of the woman walking around with the shrinking heart made me feel sad.

Basically LOTS of church hymns from both sets of grandparents, 80's pop and electronic stuff from my mom, and a lot of alternative, metal, folk, and christian rock from my dad (stuff like Fiona Apple, mewithoutYou, Brand New). There was also the omnipresent country sound that comes from constantly going back and forth through Texas and Oklahoma and the fact that my aunt owned a guitar.
