    *Its the first novel book I had read and I was 14. I discovered my favorite book genre are crime fictions and mysteries. At first, I was bored reading novels but this book has this mysteriousness when I keep going on. The ending satisfied me and I started reading more instead watching TV 24/7.
    Black Notice, Scarpetta, All that Remains, From Potter's Field--by Patricia Cornwell
    *I finished reading this four of Cornwell's Scarpetta series last year. I loved it so I started collecting them. I have Point of Origin and The Last Precinct, ready to read this summer vacation. My favorite character of course is Scarpetta's cool genius niece, Lucy and yes she's lesbian.
    Aleph, Pilgrimage, The Alchemist --by Paulo Coelho
    *I find enlightment and had realizations through his books. I admired him very much and his books.

    The first one's called "Vårt dagliga bröd" (Swedish for "Our Daily Bread") and the second one's "Høgare enn sola" (Norwegian for "Higher Than the Sun).

    The Dark Is Rising series by Susan Cooper. I read this book when I was 12, one of my favourites, didn't know the books were quite old, form around the 60s to 70s.

    Chicken Soup for the Soul is very..... philosophical if you call it that.

    The Edge Chronicles by Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart is my all-time favourite series, the very first series I read at the age of 8. It gives off a steampunk vibe.

    The Cousins War series by Philippia Gregory is interesting too, if you're into that history stuff.

    The Wardstone Chronicles series by Joseph Delaney is cool, I just started on the series. It's more of a fantasy-horror thing.

    The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paulini. Quite popular, it's one of those books where the movie made the book look bad (same as The Dark Is Rising). But I guarantee you'll love it, if you love the Lord of the Rings.

    So as you can tell, I love fantasy genre books.

    Started reading Alice Munro's first collection of short stories, Dance of the Happy Shades, originally published in 1968. Alice Munro, the first Canadian to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, has been described as one of the greatest contemporary writers, and the master of the short story. Her stories are filled with delightful and vivid details often giving the feeling that one is reading a novel, rather than a short story.

    The first collection deals with the lives of women and girls in Huron County in Southwestern Ontario - the geographical area in which many of Munro's stories are set - who have their own dreams and aspirations.

    Inkheart by Cornelia Funke and Animal Farm by George Orwell. I have kinda mixed feelings about the former and I'm just starting the latter, but I think I'll enjoy both.

    A Brief History of the Third Reich by Martyn Whittock.

    Thoroughly enjoying it. I'm a big WW2 buff, and this is more a political science examination of how Hitler came to power and what the Nazis did while in power. There's a few really interesting chapters on how maligned groups such as gays, Jews and Gypsies were treated under Hitler's regime. If you're big on WW2 history, this book comes highly recommended.
