So I thought it wold be interesting how close (or not) we all match our "apparent" stereotypes. List down some stereo types for whatever LGBTQA..... you belong too and then comment by what you are really like. Finish with whether you pass/fail the stereotype. You can do a few points, or one big one or whatever. So here's me:
    Bisexual:
Promiscuous: married my first girl friend. Never been with anyone else, so no
Untrustworthy: nope, always faithful to my partner and friends
    Indecisive: sometimes I guess
If in relationship, also craves other gender: errrr no
Confused: nope, I know who I am.
    Doesn't exist: err, Hello
In a phase: can a phase last 30 years???

    Stereotype: fail

    Happy days

Promiscuous: Never even kissed anyone. I had a girlfriend for a few days in October? So yeah, no.
    Untrustworthy: Not really.
Indecisive: So so so much about everything.
If in a relationship, also craves other gender: Only had the one girlfriend, but no not really.
Confused: Not about my sexual orientation, at least.
    Doesn't exist: Yes, obviously.
    In a phase: Probably not?

    Pansexual:

*Just being a pretentious version of bisexual: No. I'm definitely not bi, and I hope that I'm not pretentious.
*Attracted to literally everything including inanimate objects: I'm only attracted to people, so that's not true.
*It's only a fad: I know how I feel, and it's my life, not a fad.
*There are only two genders, so pansexuality cannot exist: There are only two sexes, but there are many different genders, so this one isn't true.
*Pansexuals and bisexuals hate each other: I have many bi friends, and I don't hate them!

    Transgender:
Mentally disturbed: Nope, I am quite sane, and a fully functioning member of society
Radically Liberal: While I do have a Liberal view point on many topics, I also have a few conservative ones.
Drag Artist: I have never performed any Drag act of any kind
Sexual Deviant: Sex is actually the farthest thing from my mind, while I would like to have a relationship, Sex is very distant.
Confused: Nope, I know who and what I am.

  5. Bisexual
Promiscuous: I'm a sucker for making out with people. I'm kind of a mouth slut.
    Untrustworthy: nope
Indecisive: only at the grocery store. So many options.
If in a relationship craves the other gender: I only crave my partner when I'm in a relationship
Confused: why can't I like hot dogs and tacos? Definitely not confused.
    Doesn't exist: how you doin?
In a phase: nope. Definitely just like both genders, sorry if that's too much for your small mind to comprehend

In a manner of speaking, I am both bisexual and a lesbian. See my thingy to the left for explanation.

    As a bisexual:

Promiscuous: I only have eyes for my loved one. I'm even loyal to celebrity and fictional character crushes. I'm weird, I know.
Down for threesomes: threesomes are weird to me. I see it as a step removed from an orgy. No offense intended to those who like threesomes, they're just not my thing.
Only doing it for guys: see above points.

    As a lesbian:

Man-hating feminist: I like men, I just don't want to date them.
Dressing like a dude: I dress androgynously, but I am clearly a chick.
Liberal, environmental activist, vegan, hipster, etc: No.

    Lesbian:

Manly/butch: Sort of. I still have long hair and wear clothes to fit women's sizes, I just wear more gender neutral or boyish clothing. I tend to walk and carry myself more boyish subconsciously. I have a deeper voice. I'm not girly. I'm into more "manly" things like motorcycles and muscle cars though. I don't want to be a man.

Likes Home Depot: Hahaha, I loved it as a kid because it was fun to ride those big carts.

Hates men: No. I hate douchebags, but not all men are douches.

Feminist: Yes, but not a "feminazi."

    Likes cats: LOVES CATS.

Wears flannel: Sometimes, I own a few collared flannel button downs.

Vegan/vegetarian: Noooo I could not live without meat!

Couldn't get a man: Men hit on me often.

Overweight: I'm a skinny minnie at 120 lbs and 5'6"

Likes camping: Hell yeah I do...especially RVing!

Drives a Subaru: Naw, a Toyota Corolla.

    Into sports: Sports bore me.

Watched The L Word: Never even seen it lol

Has a lisp: Not sure, you judge  ####### | Voice message

Loves fashion: Sort of true, but my STRAIGHT dad is the one who cultured me in clothing and such.

Liberal: I am a bleeding-heart conservative. That's probably the best way to put it.

I like to go shopping: Yeah, but anything more than an hour and I get cranky.

Feminine: I actually enjoy activities and things that fall in the realm of masculinity.

Promiscuous: I actually view dating as a gateway to a long-term relationship.

Confused: I've known I liked men exclusively from an early age.

Likes Broadway shows: I actually hate musicals, but do enjoy plays from time to time (12 Angry Men is my favorite).

Is hairdresser/fashion designer/interior decorator: My degree is in economics/business so I doubt I'll end up in those fields .

    Transgender:
Mentally disturbed: I honestly don't know about this part.
Radically Liberal: Liberal? Yes. Radical? Not entirely. I still support gun control.
Drag Artist: Never done drag, but I want to. I have a friend who does drag shows, though.
Sexual Deviant: I honestly don't know what entails this. If by "cheater", then hell no.
    Confused: Kind of.

    Gay:
Has a lisp: Yes? Kind of? But it's more of the geeky/nerdy kind, I guess. Whenever it presents itself.
Loves fashion: If by "fashion" you mean jeans and a T-shirt, sure.
Liberal: Sure. But I've been liberal since an early age.
I like to go shopping: Yes, but I don't do it often.
Feminine: Yes? No? You tell me. This has more to do with gender.
Promiscuous: Currently in a committed relationship.
Confused: I'm not confused really, I know exactly what I get aroused by. But not everything's black/white. I actually might be pansexual, after some events today.
Likes Broadway shows: Yes. Hell yes, I do. But I've loved them since a pretty early age and they're core to my upbringing.

    Transgender stereotype: Fail
Gay stereotype: I say fail, you can tell me otherwise.

Love Broadway musicals: I'm not into musicals. I don't dislike them, but I never watched one to judge whether I would like them or not.

Closer to mom than dad: This is very true for me.

    Wealthy: I'm dirt poor.

Obsessed over Lady Gaga, Madonna, etc.: I appreciate them as artists and what they have done for LGBT folks, but I don't worship them.

Has good sense of fashion: Um no lol. I just wear simple clothes from H&M, Kohl's, etc. I'm not very fashion savvy, don't keep up with trends, etc.

    Dislike sports: I don't like sports :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Just don't want to be gay: socally I'd be considered straight now
Hypermasculine: I'm such a fruitcake omg
Easy to spot: yes and no. do I pass consistently as my gender? no. does anyone seem to notice i'm trans? also no, since a lot of cis-women wear dude clothes.
Pervert: considering I see dicks everywhere this would have to be a resounding yes

Yeah, that's the point of this thread. Sometimes we fit the stereotype, sometimes not. :icon_wink

I'm bisexual with a preference for guys, but nearly everything about me fits a gay stereotype.

    1. I absolutely hate sports.
    2. I love cooking, and I bake with my step-mom every weekend.
    3. I like girly colours, like pink, yellow and purple.
    4. I love going shopping, but only if it involves DVDs or games.
    5. I make very feminine hand gestures and am known at school for always putting my hands on my hips.
    6. I love Britney Spears. My favourite song is Toxic.

Masculine: Eh, only sort of. I prefer to say tomboyish. I have long hair, but wear men's clothing.

Likes cats: Yes, I fit this one.

    Hates men: Nope.

Can't get a man: Actually, this is mostly true because men rarely hit on me. But it has nothing to do with anything since I'm not interested.

    Abused as a child: Nope.

Into sports: Eww I hate sports.

Into the L word: No, I despised it.

Commits early: Not really. I'm not into casual things, but it still takes me a while to say "I love you" and I don't move in with someone in a relationship under two years.

I've also seen the promiscuous stereotype (Seriously, does this apply to everyone in LGBT)? And no. If anything I'm sex-repulsed/reserved. I'm more conservative in sex than even my strong catholic straight friends.

I’m half and half. I am both Masculine and Feminine Gay. Kinda weird I know.

Sports: I absolutely love Hockey, but that really the only sport I like/watch.

Feminine: I don’t really act Feminine, but I can go from watching a hockey game to crying at a girly movie. I’m pretty sensitive actually, but the only people who know that are previous boyfriends. I love romance books and there pretty much the only thing I read.

Colors, I love pretty much love any color, I love pink though(hence pinklover, ha)

Clothes: I wear super skinny jeans and like to wear bright colors

Shopping: I don’t mind clothes shopping, but when at book stores/ electronic/target I like to just look around and have fun with friends.

Friends: Most of friends are guys, not girls.

Diet: I don't eat meat, but I do eat fish... Pescatarian. I love salad!!!

    Alcohol: I love cocktail/white wine/rose
