I always focused on the wall or lockers when we were changing so I wouldn't stare at anyone. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Flipping through girls magazines at 12 or 13 and feeling like I was reading Greek. The bits about cute boys I understood, but the other bits were so foreign.

Being asked if I was straight and being stuck for an answer.

Also, the numerous times growing up that I've said I'm a girl, "kinda".

    Crying because I had boobs.

Hiding in gym class because it didn't feel right, changing around all the girls.

Singing Mariah Carey's music while in the car with my parents, as a child. Imitating her voice.

When my friend did a striptease and I couldn't stop staring at her.

Ahh, my friends and I recently stated having weekend get-togethers, and sometimes they'll go through whoever's closet and swap clothes... It was so uncomfortable, I sat next to the window and stared out it and around the opposite side of the room for most of that like.. hour!

Certain girls that I met I would really want to impress them and I'd tell myself it was just cos I really wanted to be friends with them. I realise now that it was because I fancied them and I think on some level I knew before but at the time I ignored any thoughts like that.
Another thing I just thought of was a game I played with my friends once when I was a bit younger. There was four of us, all girls and we were pretending to be two couples and I was the guy with one of my friends that I always thought was pretty now I think about it and I suppose I did try to impress her a bit and I think I enjoyed being her 'husband' a bit more than I should have.
That also makes me think about in lower school when we played families I always liked being the dad and having a 'wife'.
The more I think about it I keep thinking of little things that could be HDIETIWS moments

Yup. Yup. And yup. Especially the magazines. Didn't get girl culture. Seemed banal and stupid. I remember having this guide to puberty, some American Girl publication. Couldn't wrap my head around the fact that it was supposed to happen to me. Knew it would but it was like preparing for a house fire- you don't think it'll actually happen.

Also had a weird fascination with male puberty. I'm a writer. Favorite characters to write were the young guys because I'd get to live through their puberty and everything that came with it.

I remember the gym thing. Year ago, I started going to gym to shed weight. Hated the women's locker rooms. Felt like I didn't belong, and I'd be all "I'm not a pervert, I'm just changing!" Same thing in restrooms, changing rooms- anything with naked women.

Of course, then again, I see that as the one advantage over cisguys. I was the one guy who got intel on the hallowed women's locker room.

I remember being seething jealous of my brother for being a boy. There he was, getting basketballs he never played with for birthdays, a wide Lego collection, and learning how to repair shit around the house while I had to be mummy's little princess.

This happened to me in fourth or fifth grade. Some kid asked me if I liked boys or girls and I ignored him because I didn't know how to answer.

Well, I've had a lot of "How did I ever think I was cis?!" moments. Recently, I was shopping with my sister and one of our female friends. They were in the women's/juniors' section, and I was in men's/boys'. I had this moment where I thought, "You know, maybe I should try one a dress just to see if I miss them", but then, as I approached the rack, I had this moment of, "Dude, get ahold of yourself! What the hell are you doing?!"

Even looking back at my old self, I keep asking myself how I ever got so girly. Don't miss it at all.

My sister might kill me if she saw this, haha.

When I was about 6 or 7, I went to her boyfriend's house (he has been my brother-in-law for about 10 years now). I remember seeing him come out of the shower. He was naked but had a towel covering his waist down. Something about him was really attractive. That moment, combined with other experiences down the road, helped me figure out my sexuality.

I do not have feelings for him at all. I just respect him as a brother-in-law - nothing more, nothing less.

When I was five, I really like Aladdin. I had this Jasmine doll that I carried everywhere. I liked to rescue her and kiss her, but I never said I was Aladdin. I was just the person who rescued and kissed Jasmine, just genderless.

I also drew a bunch of pictures of this friend of mine (I actually had a crush on her) over, and over, and over again.

Oh my god, yes. The puberty guides. I would glance at them, but it was awkward. When I read them, it was hard to think it'd actually happen, however inevitable it actually was. I forgot all about those awful things. I remember other girls getting excited about growing boobs, and all I could think was "oh please, no".

I don't have any brothers, but I was lucky in that my parents went along with my tomboyish mannerisms as a kid. They bought me basketballs, footballs, jerseys, skateboards. I inherited my dad's old baseball glove. They wouldn't buy a game system until I was nine or ten, but I used to play my friends and cousins, to which they had no objection. That said, I still received more than too many "obligatory girl" presents from relatives over the years. For a while it was whatever, but as I started getting older and getting more makeup and jewelry than I understood the purpose of... :eusa_doh:

And I just thought of another HDIETIWS(C?) moment - my friend used to host big super girly sleepovers at her place. I passed on a few before I finally went to one - it just seemed slightly uncomfortable, with the chick flicks and makeup and gossip. I got picked on a bit for being so quiet, but I didn't really know how to connect with all that. Again, like Greek.

It hit me when i was watching porn (three years ago when it was this fascinating thing to me) and i realized i was looking at the penis a bit too much. Then three years of denial and here i am.

I did at some point tell myself all girls fantasize and that it didn't have mean anything in reality. I also rationalized my attraction by telling myself it was jealousy.
Though I always knew I was doing just that, rationalizing. I knew my "I want to be her"-thoughts meant "I want to do her".

When I was sitting next to a girl in the eighth grade and watching her feeling up some guys thigh. I got all blushing and uncomfortable because I thought it was awkward but mostly because I was jealous of him :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

When the world was in its Twilight phase, I was always so jealous of Edward. Why did he get Bella? Grrrrr.

Catching myself watching gay porn at 13. I would say to myself "What am I doing?" and I would reply with "I'll stop and switch back to straight porn just after this page." Yup, that was embarrassing. I sort of wanted to make my sims gay but my family liked to hover over my computer alot.
