Do any of your family/friends know you have an EC account?

For a while no, but my mom found out last year because she checks my email (mostly because I can hardly ever be bothered to do so myself...)

I've done a lot of growing on this site. And all of it is evidenced in writing forever. Obviously this has pros and cons, the only real con being a pro too, which is that everything I've said is available to anyone with an Internet connection. But there are so many pros. I would never change how integral this place has been to me.

But my family knows now. I'd rather they didn't, mostly because I like to think of EC as my escape. My support system. My gem.

If ever I encounter a young LGB or T individual in need of support, I'd definitely refer them here though, after offering support in person as well.

 

My boyfriend knows (I read stuff to him) and one of his friends. He has an account here.

 

I refer to it as "my forum" if i ever need to talk about it. I don't need my parents stalking me.

Nope, I doubt many people know it exists tbh. Nice and private, but secret enough to bit be afraid of putting things that people may be able to identify me with (if they knew me really really well)

I've mentioned that I browsed a forum for support to my mother and she thought it was ok. Although I'd never openly browse it in front of people.

 

None. The homophobes in my town are crazy and if they aren't homophobic then they only like the very scandalous people

I've mentioned I participate on several fora, but no-one's ever asked for specifics.

 

My Cousin knows. But he's starting to forget all about it.

 

No, I wouldn't tell them. I wouldn't like them to see anything I put up, even those people I'm out to...

 

No I haven't told anyone. It gives me a place to talk freely without people knowing me and making judgements. I wouldn't want people I know looking at my threads etc.

 

I told my friends. but of course I haven't told my family.

 

Come to think of it.. Why does anyone even need to know what I'm doing on my PC? This is my life bish :3

 

The last time I told someone I was on an online forum I got catfished. And lemme tell ya, it wasn't pleasant.

So no, I'm not telling ANYONE I'm on a forum of any kind.

No. But I really want to but can't get myself to to it. Maybe one day.
