If someone says "thats so gay" is it bad?

It's annoying, sure, until I use it myself

 

Depending on the person, I will not give a flying fuck if they use that term around me, I know they mean no harm, so I will let it slide. But if it's someone I don't know or have no idea of their intentions I will casually let them know I find it offensive. That's all there is to it.

Maybe you should casually let your friends know that they should just say stupid or something other than gay.

 

I wouldn't tolerate it. But my personality tends to be such that rather than spend energy uselessly trying to educate someone, I'll just leave the situation.

 

It depends on the context. If it's used as an insult, or not.

 

I would always challenge it.

Seriously though, WHEN does the idiocy end?

Words are just words. Banning words is like banning breathing.....it ain't gonna happen for one thing, and for another, if you don't like any particular word, then you don't use it.


Bitching, whining, and complaining only makes MORE people do what you are telling them not to do.

Lead by EXAMPLE, not by whining about it.

Like any idiotic saying or quote, it will soon pass.

All it takes is some character on a TV show, in a movie, or on YouTube to say something catchy......and idiots all across the planet will start saying that instead.

I remember hearing "Hella" all the fucking time.......finally ended up seeing a Southpark episode and found out where THAT moronic quote came from.

But soon "hella" died out and made way for "thats so gay"......which will soon be replaced by some other idiotic saying........cause these sayings/quotes only last about 3-4 years then something else takes their place.

So, it's about time something else came along to replace it.
