How long did you lurk before you joined EC?

Two or three days. I was bored in class and accidentally found EC so I was like....yeah why not

 

This. Took me about 5 minutes. Now all I do is lurk quietly. Winters got me down.

 

A while. I was under the impression it was another one of those sites where as soon as you join all people did was inbox you stuff like "a/s/l".

After reading a couple of the forums for a while I realized it couldn't be that bad.

 

Meh, I don`t lurk. I just joined, introduced myself, got into talks with people
But I`ve been on other forums before, so I`m very used to it.

 

Lol, asking asl on here on a private message would most likely lead to a deep and meaningful conversation. We're a pretty eclectic bunch. The "S" part can be complicated.

 

I lurked for about 2-3 months before I began posting. When I found EC I was just barely starting to check out gay-related sites, so I was still in the paranoid mindset of "what if someone found out what I've been looking at online?" (I had never even watched porn online at that point). Eventually I decided upon joining after realizing how helpful it might be to post what was going on inside my head. I'm glad I did!

 

One or two days, I initially thought that it was just aimed at teens / young adults but soon found older folks on here and that everyone was welcome in the community. As a much older person struggling with my sexuality I have been surprised at how helpful discussions aimed at, and between, younger members have helped me.

If only I had come across something like this 30 years ago my life would have turned out differently ...

well about 2 years , i was searching for a good site to feel free and exchange ideas, finally i got one in ec

 

like 5 months!

 

I was lurking this forum for like 6 or 7 months before finally making an account! :lol:

 

A couple days and right after I saw the membership application didn't ask for my credit card number.

I think it was at least a few months...

 

One month. I made an account right after coming out to myself. One month before, I had been lurking in this forum.

 

Couple of months.

 

I lurked for about a month, returning to read new posts and those posts helped me a lot, finally giving me the courage to sign up!

 

I was looking up 'homoromantic bisexual' as a possible alternative to my already lesbian identity and saw some threads on here. When I decided to use that phrase to describe myself, I joined. But obviously I'm not sure of my label anymore.
