So yesterday was my last day at IBM. I worked there for nearly 7 years.

Many great people that I am going to miss working with. However management created a toxic work environment that I just could not tolerate any longer. The environment drove me to become a shell of my former self.

I found a new job working on a product that I am excited about. I start on Tuesday and for the first time in ages I am looking forward to going to work.

Good luck with your new job. I know you havn't been happy there for a while. It makes a huge difference when you work at a place you like.

 

My intro to justice studies quiz says that I have already taken it when I have not taken it... this sucks.

 

Eep. Dinner with the whole immediate fam for the first time since the awkward separation. This'll be fun...

Watching a parody video of US republicans 'dancing' at their convention (only because Tyler Oakley posted it...), and not only were they are all white and in their 50s, they were all overweight. Every single one.. it all seemed very strange when it dawned on me.

 

I went to the Taste of Madison event today, and left stuffed but satisfied. Why I'm not already passed out cold from a food coma, I honestly don't know.

 

Damn, we're having epic, extremo storm weather right now... Glad I decided not to go hiking today, lol ...

 

So, I was hanging out with some friends today (I know, when does that ever happen?) and my friend (W) couldn't go. I was texting her and she said 'ask X or Y to tell you the story about Z thinking they were lesbians'. So I did. And they just looked at me and this happened
X: Z thinks we're lesbians because we're in a relationship.
Y: Did W tell you? I bet she did, she's a loudmouth and she's like the only person you talk to
X: Aww, he's so confused, look at his face
Both: Laugh.

See here's the thing; I HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY'RE JOKING. Like, I'm bad at reading people, and I get jokes and seriousness mixed up a lot, and this is the kind of thing they'd do to me for fun. They've been best friends as long as I've known them and people have always made what I thought were jokes about them being lesbians and stuff but I have no idea.

 

Woke up very hungover from drinking all those beers last night. I didn't enjoy the hangover, but getting drunk was pretty neat. I only drink seasonally when Samuel Adams Octoberfest. Thank goodness it's vegan friendly, because I'm totally in love with this beer.

I just wish I didn't run out of beers yesterday, because now I'll have to wait until I can drink some more. And that certainly sucks.

 

Oh, drat. I forgot the cafeteria closed at 7 pm today. Now I'll have to go to the other side of campus to get dinner. :tantrum:

Something came up, and my friends aren't going to the Ren Faire after all, so I've decided that there's not much of a point to buying a ticket, filling up the gas tank, and going there by myself without a single person I know. Damn, and I was looking forward to going with them and a bunch of their friends.

Why do things always happen at the worst possible times?

I went to the Farmers' Market and Taste of Madison alone, and now I know I'm going to be alone tomorrow. Add to that the fact that I wanted to go to the Ren Faire to keep the stress of the job hunt at bay, and I'm just in a shitty mood right now.

 

I'm exhausted. I think I may have over done it today. :/

 

Recently I have been stressed, without any reason, and it's just made me really tired and depressed, which is not helpful when I have school in three days *crash*

 

she's right, really...i am...i'm an asshole and a bitch and a waste of a human being...nothing i do is right...but she didn't have to yell at me about it all the time and rub it in...i already knew...and as much as i'd love to be, i'm not someone who's worth anything...
