    I'm having an argument with somebody on youtube about the hunger games and I'm actually starting to get annoyed with the way they think 'violence = bad. THIS FILM IS CORRUPTING SOCIETY' and refuse to accept the fact that the violence is used to send a message ABOUT the corruption in society that they're mouthing off about.

    Two things:

    1. My love texted me today and said that she got an interview at the local hospital as an STNA, but the shift they're offering her is second, which is the last one we wanted. If she gets it, we will almost never see each other, which makes me sad, because we're going to be on opposite schedules. But I'm really excited and happy for her too. We both have big boy and big girl jobs now. ^_^

    2. My university is building some new dorm or something and the contractors found out two weeks ago that some of the workers are non-union, and they've been protesting ever since then on campus. I had to walk to class today through a hostile mob with some other students, and they shouted slurs at us, blaming us for whatever is going on with the unions. It was totally barbaric and beyond the pale...

    Happy birthday!!

    On another note, today was a great day. Our extremely incompetent, far too conservative, far too right winged government has finally collapsed (after only 1.5 year which is still way longer than I hoped they would last). I'm hoping for new elections and after that a progressive more left winged government coalition... but that probably won't happen :frowning2:

    I just found out that my hometown has been dealing with a plague of moths. This is in addition to the loose cows causing traffic jams on a freeway, epic dust storms, blizzards, and intense thunderstorms that have also happened while I've been away. I don't wanna go back for the summer!

    Why do I have such difficulty with assignments until my window for completing them shrinks to a point where I couldn't possibly put it off any longer..Ugh, my own mind so terribly frustrating! :dry:
