I just finished watching But I'm a Cheerleader...it was funny, but yet there is so much truth in it. I could totally relate.

Here are two movies from Germany I've seen recently:

    Freier Fall

    Sasha

Both really good. And that second one features a fair amount of the Waldstein Sonata, which was definitely a nice addition to the plot .

Aimee and Jaguar is a really good German movie you might want to check out if you haven't already. It takes place during World War II and it's about a Jewish journalist and the wife of a Nazi soldier. It's one of my favorites.

  9. A single man(gay and bi themed)
May have forgotten about all of them but here are more:
    Mysterious Skin(Gay themed)
    Boys Dont Cry(Trans themed)
Y tu Mama Tambien(has themes of bisexuality)
Transamerica(suppose I do not have to specify)
    Midnight Express(bi themed)

Boys Dont Cry-Brilliant film, although may not be suitable for overly sensitive viewers.

    ---------- Post added 24th Mar 2014 at 10:56 AM ----------

Oh wait: Brideshead Revisited (gay themed)

    ---------- Post added 24th Mar 2014 at 10:59 AM ----------

Cant think of any more for the time being.Would want to explore the genre further though.

I've seen many so can't remember all but my top ten would be

    1- Prayers for Bobby
    2- Latter Days
3- Eating out 2 Sloppy Seconds
    4- Were the world mine
    5- Get Real
    6- Weekend
    7- Strapped
    8- A Marine Story
    9- In & Out
    10- Shelter

Only "A Marine Story" is a lesbian movie. Others are very important or very fun gay movies.

I'm pretty sure that somebody suggested this already but I'd have to recommend Imagine Me and You. It's an adorable movie and super-duper light-hearted. Nothing serious but it's cute.
    Really cute ^^

Yeah, the movie was great. I've seen a bunch of different movies with Max and loved his acting in everyone of them. And that other guy played in another gay-themed movie - Sommersturm, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, and thanks for the tip, drumdreez.

The first gay themed movie I recall seeing was Basil Deardon's British thriller "Victim," a 1961 film of courage and suspense. It starred Dirk Bogarde as a barrister who finds himself being blackmailed for once having homosexual feelings, contacts and desires he had for a younger man (Peter McEnery). In order to trap the blackmailers he must decide to confess his secret to his wife and the police. The daring, thought-out script was written by Janet Green and John McCormick. A must see in the gay canon.

I just saw Floating Skyscrapers. I really liked it. It was a good movie, although it was a bit dark.

I've only seen a few, mostly because I have to watch them alone in my room on my laptop that is 6 years old >.> My first ever LGBT themed movie was D.E.B.S, even though it's corny, I still adore it (and Jordana Brewster) and will forever be thankful I watched it that fateful day. I also love Blue is the Warmest Color, Kiss Me and My Summer of Love.
