Not my story but I'll post it anyway.

I thought this story was really cute and fun. I don't know if it's real but it's one of my favorites.

Told my mom i needed to show her something, she got worried when i handed her my Coming out letter. After she sat there and read the letter (she had no problem with it whatsoever), she said, "You scared me, i though you got arrested or something!"

Also, another friend (who turned out to be gay, but is still closeted), when I first told him, he sarcastically freaked out saying, " Whoa, this isnt a Coming out party! GTFO! (We joke around all the time, so he didnt think i was serious at first) He was fine with it when he realised it was no joke.

 

My mother: "I'd love you if you were purple with yellow polka-dots. You're my smart child." I love my mom so much.

 

This is such a funny thread! It makes me feel good

It's really difficult for me to tell someone I'm gay. Like, really hard. Everyone I've told so far have been great, except my one friend who took a while, but is wonderful about it now. But I've never told my family. My twin brother knows without me having to tell him and it's a subject we NEVER talk about. So the first time I told my older brother was the first time I told family. It was haaaard!

I took a while. First time while we were driving I said I wanted to tell him something, but after a few um's and aah's I felt really nervous and uncomfortable and I changed the subject. He hammered on it a while, but dropped it. A week later he phoned me and asked about what I wanted to say. Again I cleverly (with lots of experience in this field) managed to evade and dodge the question.

About 3 weeks after that, he was in town again and we went out for some coffee. This time I was determined to tell him. I was sooo nervous and I just couldn't get the words out of my mouth "I am gay." So I decided to tell him about my first crush. That it was someone who made me do some stupid stuff and I went on about that a bit. Then I paused and looked away and said "It was another guy."

I couldn't even look at him after I said it.

Then he said: "You're not as subtle as you think."
Then he was laughing, "But seriously, did you have to torture yourself for weeks?"

Now I am soooo glad I told him. I can now talk to him about anything and he even said he'd organise me a blind date

 

Well....Here at 3:42 pm exsactly after school, Age: somewhere between 16-17

Me: *cusses a bit*
Mom: -driveing look's over,"What's wrong??"
Me: I spilt my soda down the front of me....
Mom: ****, Why did you do that...
me: I was looking at that guy, he's gay..I kinda have a crush on him....
Mom:.................-awkward silence- *Yey gay baby ish born some where in the world!~*
Me:......-complete silence-
Mom: I love you, but are you telling me that your gay?
Me: -nod's-
Mom: I need a ciggerette...
me: -hand's one-

She and I talked after a while and then everything was on the table and it was great!~

 

I was grad party hopping a couple weeks ago with my "bromance" (Name: F) and my friend who knew I was gay (Name: B)

*B makes some comment about me being gay*
B:Wait... does F know
Me: Well, he does now
