1. I don't have a lisp 2. I have a low voice 3. Not promiscous 4. Extreme sex or bondage is a no for me 5. Not into fashion/don't keep up with it I think that pretty much covers it xD I do conform to: Shopping, like-age of pink or purple, MAJOR articulator w/ gestures
1. Not really that feminine around my peers, I'm usually the scariest guy in class 2. I cannot do the snap snap snap thing 3. I don't have cute underwear 4. I rarely wear anything outside the black, grey and white spectrum, and I don't wear pink outside 5. No lisping, I speak in a very politician styled voice 6. I'm shit at casual clothing and fashion 7. I do not use the word fabulous, I find myself using excellent more often in real life
I love punk music, hate dance and pop. I can tune the timing of a car, grease and oil change, bleed the brakes, change rotors and drum brakes, my wrist ain't limp, my hair doesn't mean anything to me so I shave it off, I don't walk like I have a stick up my arse. I hate shopping and love hard work and getting my hands dirty.
I play basketball I don't use's any hair prodoct's I don't in to fashion and design I dont have any more ><
Is it just me or does anyone else than this thread slightly condescending (I think that's the right word) to guys that maybe match the gay stereotype. Reading it I feel a bit put down because yeah I like pop music, yeah I like Lady GaGa, yeah I do like to shop. I feel a bit put down and looked down upon with guys going 'I hate such and such therefore I don't fit the stereotype... So there" Maybe I'm just feeling crappy right now but reading this read implies to me that fitting some but not all the gay stereotype things is looked down upon.
I don't care about fashion or what I wear at all. In fact, I would gladly go out naked into the street if given the chance. So much cheaper!
I don't wear anything with a Rainbow. I watch shows Gay people wouldn't usually watch. I believe this is it.
This is seriously sad, but I'm pretty stereotypical. I guess one stereotype broken is that I hate one night stands? ( I'm a very devoted person, but I don't obsess. ) I don't have a lisp. No jazz hands. I know this is not on the topic, but I'm just showing ya my stereotypes :/ I care about myself. I think I'm fat/ugly. Bleh. I think my hair is always bad. I'm extremely sensitive. I try to dress fancy. I love the colors Pink, Blue, Red ( light ) and blue-green. Not sure if this is a stereotype, but I'm EXTREMELY grossed out when a girl touches me on the hand ( like holding hands ) face, legs, groin ( duh ) chest, and stomach. I'm pretty stereotypical XD
-I like guns. I maintain a loaded firearm at all times for self and home defense. -I like cars. I drive a diesel Mercedes and I do all my car work. I smell like diesel OFTEN and don't mind it. -I leave my hair as it came when I was born. -I don't shave anything but my face. -I like playing and watching hockey. -Deep voice and no lisp -I care about my overall appearence, but I just dress with whatever's comfy. No matching BS. -I hate reality TV. -I have never dyed my hair. -I'm a staunch conservative with only minor common sense lapses into a liberal attitude. -I believe in God(but trust in science). -I have never called anyone "girlfriend". I think that's all I can come up with as of now. ride:
WOOOOW. I have MCD or Matching Clothes Disorder. XD. I have a horrible habit of having to match the clothes I want. If I don't find anything matching perfectly, I will shamefully put the shirt or pants back.
I don't like ''The L Word'' hahaha Damn. I thought only my hair made me a stereotypical lesbian but it's actually hard to find something that breaks the stereotype...
HAHAHA! I drive my sister bonkers because I just wear whatever looks good. I wore a green T-shirt and blue athletic shorts one time. She wouldn't go out to the store with me! I told her it was a special style I called "Seafoam" and she made me change.
I can see your point, but also I think it shows others (specifically some of the more insecure, possibly younger folk) that gay people, like straight, people come in all shapes and colors, and just because you are gay you shouldn't have to conform to anything. At the very core, a lot of young gay people just want to feel like they belong because maybe they feel at odds with their peers. Reading this they can see, "hey there is another person that likes such and such" and feel a bit more included and connected.
^YES! I wasn't thinking this thread was negative at all. It's just kind of fun to see why sterotypes aren't the best way to scope someone out. If you tried to apply stereotypes to me, just about the only one you could fit would be my love for Cher/Madonna/Spice Girls and techno/electronic/Euro pop music. (*hug*)
I am a MMA fighter I have a mildly deep voice. I typically dress casually I dont own any hair products other than shampoo Bright colors are a no go for me. I have a tattoo On the flip side, i am a dancer and a singer I have a slight lisp.
