    Haha, I was going to say "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga and "Firework" by Katy Perry but multiple people beat me to it, lolz. But they really helped me feel like I was normal and that I could have good things in store, and they continue to do so, which is invaluable. Also, "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper, ftw, lolol!

    If anyone listens to Russian music, Vintage, kind of popular pop band in Russia, has two very gay songs. The first one "Boy" (in Russian "Mal'chik") is about a guy who feels outcasted because he is different, and in the bridge two lines reflect so many thoughts "Dad, mom, I'm your mistake, you never wanted to have a son like me". The translation can be found here, but it's not very correct.
    And the second song by this band is "Stereo". The whole meaning of this song is about love stereotypes. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the translation.

    Macklemore's Same Love. I adore that song! The song talks about how stupid it is to worry about if someone is gay or straight. He shares a story about his childhood when he thought he might be gay and talks about his gay uncle and how we're not really free until we all are. It's so beautiful and I love that it calls attention to just being oneself and not following stereotypes as well.

    Steve Grand is an internet sensation right now with All-American Boy. He's openly gay and sings a song about unrequited love with a straight buddy. You can find it on YouTube.

    Jimmy Sommerville's album "Dare to Love" is a classic for me.

    Someone earlier mentioned Pansy Division. They're a lot of fun.

    Check out the video for Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful.

    There are lots of positive portrayals of us in the music world now.

    She Keeps Me Warm by Mary Lambert. She was the one who sang the chorus in Same Love by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

    Those are all the lesbian songs I listen to, minus all the music by queer artists like Tegan and Sara.
