He have this, but I just remembered no one ever made the counterpart that was discussed. http://emptyclosets.com/forum/gender-identity-expression/228918-ftm-thread.html So here it is! Guys, feel free to chime in as well if it's relative to the thread. Like fashion/hair/makeup tips from back when you were still forced to still care about those things, stuff like that. Girls, ask any questions, share any tips, talk about anything related to being a girl you wish. To start us off: I've been looking for a good workout to start. I'd like to finally start being healthy and taking care of my body. I'd like the body I've always wanted, which, shallow as it may sound, was never the body of a chubby girl....though I would still rather that than be a chubby guy. The 5-Move Workout Swimsuit Models Swear By That, a lot of cardio, and being more conscious of what(and more importantly HOW MUCH) I eat, should get me some nice results, me thinks.
I've heard that the sideways plank can make your waistline more feminine, but I myself have tried to avoid it so I can't share any experience with the exercise- other than the fact that it's fairly easy and you can quickly get used to it.
Anyone have any ideas for getting past anxiety/a good/bad habit regarding nail paints? I was/am kinda into Warhammer 40k figures, and after painting them have to clean the paint off my fingers and nails. Now that habit is kinda getting in the way of me painting my nails with paints actually meant to be put on them.
I will have to look into it, thanks buddy! More feminine is the goal all around. Do any of us girls use a patch to get our hormones? Do you like the patch, or is it annoying?
Mindset and method will probably help. Ritualizing painting your nails as a sort of spa-like treat yourself event will separate it from being just any ol' paint. also the painting method. Try and paint the tip edge of your nail along with the rest. This will sort of wrap the polish on and make it last longer. The longer the nails, the easier that is to do and there are great videos on youtube that will help you come up with simple nail art or just regular nail techniques. Also a bad habit I used to have was once it began to chip, i would start to pick and make it all come off in one day. To combat this, when you're polish chips or you're done wearing that color, make sure you use nail polish remover to properly clean it.
Will do. I'm thinking about maybe trying patches myself. I just like the idea better than a pill. My first laser was a success! She said I should shave tonight(give it a few hours for the skin sensitivity to go away. But she sees me having decent results! Also, I did tell her why I'm getting this done. She said she'd give me a discount on other areas if I decide to have anything else lasered, like my chest or bikini area....so I guess I just came out to someone in person for the first time today, I just realized that. It wasn't too hard though, as soon as I answered the "are you taking any medication?" question with "I have my first hrt appointment on Wednesday" she knew exactly what I was telling her.
Patch is nasty and leaves a ring of dirty adhesive around the area it is in and leaves a red mark. Told my endo that I don't want it anymore give me a pill.
im going with the patch because i'll be 50 on 5 march so the risk of blood clots is lower, even though the patch works slower than the pill i feel its an ok price to pay for lesser risk. and as for the adhesive mark, a little baby oil or hand sanitizer gets that off pretty quick
Now THAT I didn't know. Perhaps I'll stick to pills for now. After a year, I'll switch to the patch. How much slower we talking?
That's true. I think I'll take the pills for now. They're cheaper, and I can switch to patches when I don't need to pinch every penny.... My laser tech is awesome!!!! She emailed me a confirmation for my second appointment, and it says "Dear Brooke (last name)" at the top!
What is more affordable for the effect? Laser hair removal location, or a one time purchase at home $400 hair removal device my therapist recommended?
Honestly your results would be better having it professionally done. Check out Groupon. I got six sessions at my place for like $250. Plus she's giving me a discount later, since I'm probably going to be getting so much done. I've never had a better shave, ever! I can already feel beard hairs dying a slow painful death!
Just remember that laser is most effective at removing dark hair on fair skin. If your hair is lighter and your skin isn't that fair, there are other hair removal treatments that work much better and if you do it yourself, your results will probably be less than satisfactory. As for the patches VS pills argument, how come nobody has mentioned the gel yet?
1.) The home kits aren't nearly as powerful lasers. And the laser heads require changing out after like 100 pulses. Nor are they useful for fair color hair. Lazuri already said it. 2.) I've never had the option of the gel. Seems like it would be easy.
