Have you been verbally or physically assaulted bc u r lgbt ? Property vandalized? Thankfully I have never been verbally or physically assaulted . My property was never vandalized either. How about you?
Well, I don't know if being LGBT had anything to do with it, but I was called f@g, f@gg0t, etc while being assaulted quite a few times.
I've been verbally assaulted many times for my presumed sexuality (before I knew I was gay), and then a few months after, in school (I was about 14/15) I was called knocked to the ground with a hit on my head and called a faggot, I didn't see who it was, nor did my friends, but I wasn't hurt so got on with my day a bit shaken. I only clicked one but was supposed to click physically too.
Mostly verbally, rarely physically. The physical stuff wasn't common and it never lasted long. I think my bullies were envious, so there was more to it than LGBT things ^^; I also picked "other" because my bullies had a few unconventional methods to get on my nerves. I'm just glad I haven't been bullied since I was 15. And I don't think I've ever had property vandalised.
When I first came out, I came out as being bisexual. I was harassed my members of my old church. They came into my workplace and tried to have an intervention for me. They also burnt a rainbow flag in my yard. Before I came out, I was assaulted physically by the same people. I was hit with a plastic baseball bat multiple times by my former youth director. At the time, he thought that I was gay, and did not like that.
I haven't had damage done to my house and I haven't been physically assaulted but verbally oh god yea! Kids are so mean.
Well I'm not all that out yet, so no, but on multiple occasions I've been called a faggot or other derogatory words. It's not something I care about anymore though, I've gotten used to it. Also I'm mocked for being kinda effeminate by people every so often.
I have been called "bading" or "bakla" (it is a term for trans f and gays, especially the feminine ones). It tears my heart just by typing those words. I HATE being called that term. It brings me back to really dark times where everyone was throwing out homophobic comments on me. I hate it. A friend of mine wrote "gay" on my text book once. I had to re-vandalize it to remove it. I hated him for doing that.
I've been verbally assaulted because of my sexuality several times. Mostly when I was younger than 16, though. Kids can be mean. People seemed to grow out of the homophobia when I got older.
I live in a very conservative place, and before I transitioned I was a very masculine girl--so everyone assumed I was a lesbian. I was called slurs a lot, shoved a few times, and sexually assaulted. Never had any property destroyed though (thus far).
I was sexually abused by my brother so I got the comfort of woman clothes and it protected me,later on a few years I was sexually assaulted again and it last for several years and when I start working I lived on my own living as a woman between the 4 walls of my flat and that continue for several years and I had to get married cause everyone thought I was gay so I still live my life with michelle in my dreams and thoughts with her
Not really. I live in Las Vegas, which is a very liberal city. Thank god I have never had that happened to me. In all my years in highschool, middle school, or elemntry school this has never occurred. I'm in 12th grade at the moment.
I am actually a man but it gave me great pleasure if people call me michelle cause this who I am since I was sexually assaulted at age 5 and it continue till I was 20years so I am what I am made by humans
I'm not out, so it's rarely ever happened, but I actually just experienced it lately(to anyone who read my thread not long ago). I had left from visiting someone at a local motel and ended up striking a convo with the guy next door. This guy from the other end of the balcony comes over, tells me to stfu and goes on a homophobic rant. Even though he was drunk, 95%+ of the rant somehow swapped from me being loud(his initial claim) to being shit based on what he apparently perceived as being gay, like how all he could hear for an hour was me being loud about my 'faggotry' and something about my voice clearly having rainbows in it. I also chose other because, while he didn't physically hit me(his brothers saw the situation and tried to calm him), he did threaten to knock me over the balcony. Only one other time I recall being called a faggot, but that time was just these guys being stupid while driving by most likely.
Nope. Never been misgendered either. I've gotten a few stares back before I started passing better but I doubt a single assailant wants to attack a 6 foot tall woman. So no. I'm lucky I guess.
