Back in my day~ *shakes cane* we had to buy a whole album and pray that the rest of it was good and that we weren't paying 17 dollars for 1 song! XD;;; (but seriously though, hard times... T.T) So, are there any albums that you enjoy listening to all the way through? My top three are~ The Yellow Album (aka The Orange Album or Days of the New) by Days of the New Superunknown by Soundgarden A Crow Left of the Murder by Incubus What about you? ^.^
Some that come directly to my head and which I enjoy all the way trough are: 'Til Death by Aesthetic Perfection We Are The Mess by Eskimo Callboy Lateralus by Tool
A few for me: Cormorant-Metazoa Kammarheit-Asleep and Well Hidden(Especially when I'm falling asleep) Dragobrath-Whisperherbs Laibach-Krst Pod Triglavom Panopticon-Roads to the North
The End of History and The Bunkhouse by Fionn Regan. He's a bit different than what I normally listen to, but his album are beautiful :')
A lot. Here's a list. The Bends - Radiohead OK Computer - Radiohead Kid A - Radiohead In Rainbows - Radiohead To Pimp a Butterfly - Kendrick Lamar Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division Closer - Joy Division Spirit of Eden - Talk Talk (the most underrated album EVER!!!) Laughing Stock - Talk Talk Illinois - Sufjan Stevens Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco Carrie & Lowell - Sufjan Stevens M3LLI55X - FKA Twigs Currents - Tame Impala The Suburbs - Arcade Fire Pink Moon - Nick Drake Loveless - My Bloody Valentine Homogenic - Björk Agætis Byrjin - Sigúr Ros Sea Change - Beck Demon Days - Gorillaz Random Access Memories - Daft Punk DSOTM - Pink Floyd Revolver - The Beatles The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest Plastic Beach - Gorillaz The Magic Whip - Blur Odelay - Beck Good Kid, m.A.a.d City - Kendrick Lamar Doolittle - Pixies By the Way - Red Hot Chili Peppers Lonerism - Tame Impala
Nice choice! I typically go for 01011001 though to listen the whole way through. Some others: Edge of Sanity - Crimson, Crimson II Shakti - Natural Elements Anglagard - Hybris, Viljans Öga Keane - Under The Iron Sea Those are the most frequent ones anyway. Usually whether I listen to a whole album depends if I'm in a concept mood, since a bunch of my albums are concept albums.
Superb choice in music you have, young one. I also listen to albums all the way thru rather than have playlists. I still listen to CDs, seem to have a better feel than opening an iPhone playlist. I'll try to keep my list very short (hopefully): AFI - Sing The Sorrow A-Ha - Scoundrel Days The Allman Brothers - Eat A Peach Crosby, Stills and Nash - self titled C,S,N,Y - Deja Vu The Cure - Disintegration The Cure - Wish David Bowie - Low David Bowie - Heroes ELP - Trilogy ELP - Brain Salad Surgery Genesis - Selling England By The Pound Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway Genesis - A Trick Of The Tail Genesis - Invisible Touch The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced? Led Zepp - Zoso Pet Shop Boys - Introspective Pet Shop Boys - Behaviour. Pink Floyd - Ummagumma live album Pink Floyd - Animals Queen - A Night At The Opera Tears For Fears - The Hurting Tears For Fears - Songs From The Big Chair Tears For Fears - The Seeds Of Love Tears For Fears - Elemental Weezer - The Blue Album Weezer - Pinkerton Yes - Fragile Yes - Close To The Edge That's a very brief start! :icon_bigg
Off the top of my head MCR's Black Parade and DD albums. Mostly because I've been relistening to them again lately.
I don't own a lot of albums but Sucker by Charli XCX is my favorite album to listen to on a roadtrip. (It's about an hour so if I listen to it through three times then I've already gotten to my cousin's house. Good way of passing time)
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory Linkin Park - Meteora Craig David - Born to do it Christina Aguilera - Christina Aguilera Daughtry - Daughtry Kenny G - Faith: A Holiday Album Kenny G - Miracles: The Holiday Album Boys II Men - Legacy: The Greatest Hits Collection I have a few more where I will listen to almost the whole album, minus maybe 1-3 songs
Scandal-Temptation Box Shiina Ringo - Shoso Strip Green Day - American Idiot Number Girl - NUM-heaymetallic Taylor Swift - Red and Speak Now I always buy albums tbh. These are just the top ones that I will listen to without skipping anything happily. Though I haven't listened to Taylor Swift in a loooong time, those entries are very much throwbacks to the days when I would listen to them all the way through all the time when I was a big Taylor fan for a while (hate her new stuff soooooo much and am more into rock now), but I would definitely listen to them through again! Mostly I will hear songs I like, research artists, and only buy the albums of those where I have some decent interest in their other songs. Usually I will only end up with a few I need to skip.
