What are you thinking?

I've been using nasal spray (last used it a week ago) and my nose is completely torn up. I have sores and gashes in both nostrils and my nose is extremely bloody. I've also been using antiseptic wipes to clean the sores and blood and saline to help moisturize my nostrils, but nothing is helping.

 

Why do I keep getting these mens underwear ads on websites, and how many times do I have to report them to get them to stop showing up. Do they have any idea how triggering that can be?

 

I've been online here on EC for more than 12 hours now (the eating break time is already deducted)! :lol:

 

I didn't get the job and I'm devastated. I feel like I lost out because I don't have the same amount of experience as the other candidates. But it's not my fault that I'm still in training, everyone has to start somewhere! They knew that I'd be going in as newly qualified when they interviewed me. So now I'm just upset because I felt like things had gone really well, and it's still apparently not enough. What do I have to do, perform some kind of miracle?

 

It's amazing how short-sighted some people can be.

 

Yay for anxiety. Yay for falling apart. Yay for forgetting to take my meds this morning. Yay for not getting anything done. Yay for having a German oral exam tomorrow that I need to prepare.

I'm thinking about skipping that class, which is something I've never done before. No, that won't happen.

I love depression mixed with anxiety. I love not giving a fuck, while worrying about everything.

Not sure, but it seems that my workplace crush is starting to take more notice of me [whether it's merely friendly or more, I don't care.] At one point, it appeared that he went out of his way to briefly check in with me after we'd already talked earlier in the day.

I finished what I needed to prepare for my German exam. I really did not think I would be able to do that. Yay for me.

I cannot even be upset by this upcoming Disney film "Princess of North Sudan" travesty. It is just baffling to me. It is one thing to create a westernized perception of society for children, but to make a film about a Virginian white man who traveled to Africa to claim land and plant a flag to declare his daughter an "African Princess" is unfathomable. I am not even going to touch the lack of representation in Disney films or the ways that people of color are portrayed when they are present. What boggles my mind is that a board sat through this proposal and thought:

"Perfect! Why don't we make a move that will leave every white child in the first world thinking, 'Wow, I wish that my father would run out to Africa, to India, to Latin America and claim a piece of land in my name.' This is the concept that we needed."

Fuck history. Fuck integrity. Fuck all of it. Rather than tell a story that reflects that people of that region. Rather than tell a story in which these children can identify and view a story from the perspective of protagonists that maybe aren't western. Who maybe, just maybe, aren't white. This is what we are going with. This is our African Princess story.

You don't have to acknowledge other sectors of this world. You don't have to acknowledge other cultures or regions; but to make the stories about other lands and cultures not even about the people who live there is a level of disrespect that I just can't understand. But we are all suppose to smile and open our hearts because it was all done in the name of a little all-American girl. Mickey can fuck off!
