I sure love being proven wrong sometimes. I've been waiting for gossip to spread for a while and been surprised by how long it's taken. I think letting people find me on facebook has helped since people know my name and it seems like less of a secret now.
Whoops. It's a big day for me apparently because I already have another one. A customer asked my coworker who was working drive thru with me for my name so she could call in a survey for both of us. I hate this because I don't wanna see my old name up there and it confuses the customers. Apparently he told her my name but didn't use pronouns because she called me a "young man" to him. I just saw the comment she left and she thought he said "Cade" instead of my girl name "Kate". So I must've made a pretty unconvincing girl if she thought my name was more likely Cade (pretty uncommon name. Except for transguys, maybe she knew lol) than Kate (one of the most common names ever).
So... I came out to the entire administration and support staff and my department head. In the matter of a day I tripled the number of people who I'm out to and it couldn't have gone better.
WOW, so cool. and a week ahead of schedule. happy for you hun(*hug*) on a personal note, i dropped off my letter to my parents. i left it where i hope they find it soon, and dont freak out or something.
the doctor approved a change of the dose of my hormones today from half the normal dose to a normal dose so more estrogen for this girl
That must have been a great feeling Congrats!! I guess this is more than a small victory .. so a drumroll *badumdumdumdumdu da dumdumdumdum badam adum badum tissssss* Wait for it...... YOU GUYS. GUESS WHO GETS TO START TAKING T? THIS GUYYYY. My excitement cannot be contained.
WOW huge victory for you there!!!! congrats and lot's of luck with the side effects of T... which you will probably like way more than i did
This is more of a victory for my mother, but she has come such a long way with accepting my transition. She was never outright going to hinder me in getting any surgeries, though when I first told her about wanting top surgery she told me that she would never want to see the results. Now she's actively planning my hospital stay, says she's really excited for me and we're even delaying our annual family vacation to improve my recovery time. :surprised
Hope I do to the students out there too. Lot of scared kids in the closet with all colors of the rainbow.
That'll never happen, I'm too much of an exhibitionist. Though after the other night at the gym, I think I need to get some sports bras....running= ouch.
