And over here I'm noticing that my skin is starting to get thinner and more sensitive because I'M COLD ALL THE FUCKING TIME. I used to never be cold, but now I'm always cold.

 

are you on patches? if so, how long?

 

I am four months on patches and my skin didn't got thinner but it got softer and dryer a bit. I used to be cold all the time and now it's warm all the time and sometimes the annoying hot flashes... you will get used to them and after a few months they get less.

 

Congrats Sarah!!!! Such a milestone.

I've been on pills for 3 weeks now. I have noticed an increase in shaving related cuts, don't know if that means my skin is thinning? Or maybe I just need to change my blade....

 

I'm on gel for about six weeks now.

I don't get mood swings, but my emotions are a lot stronger in general. Sad things in films have an easier time making me cry and funny things I usually just chuckled at is making me laugh out loud these days.

Your skin is softer because it's thinner.

 

hopefully i'll be like this as well.

thanks Brooke. (*hug*) i think this will take some getting used to as one edge is pulling off. i hope it stays on for the full 3 days. maybe i have it in a poor spot.

try changing the blade hun. :icon_wink

 

Took my first pills today!

It was underwhelmingly normal given how long it feels it took to get here.

 

so today is my birthday and my son took me out for brunch at a local high end place. in guy mode but what ever. on the way home we stoped and he got me a cake that says Happy 50 Birthday Mom :icon_bigg

Did you swallow them, or dissolve them under your tongue? I've been doing the under tongue method this past week.

MY BOOBS ARE SWOLLEN AND THEY HURT!

 

I swallowed them... was I supposed to disolve them under my tongue?

 

I don't know that it matters much. Some doctors say it gets to the blood stream faster and works better because it bypasses the liver. Others say it doesn't matter just swallow it, the gains from dissolving are negligible.

 

That could depend on the dose of hormones you're taking and your body in general...
Estrogen usually only causes those during puberty or that time of the month i.e. when there's tons of it in your body doing stuff,but not on a normal day to day basis.( In my experience, that is.)
So...might just be that.

 

i asked my doc about dissolving pills vs swallowing and she said it makes no difference as it gets processed by the liver in any regard no matter the method of intake, even with patches or gel. but if one method works for you keep it up.
