My remote control in my room stopped working. So I called down to get a replacement. The person at the front desk said "how may I help you ms. ****?" Even though my ID is still male the concierge was wise enough to enter my gender properly when I checked in.

    Made my day.

I had three old friends staying at my place for New Year's Eve. I thought I would be hearing my old name for days but they only slipped up a few times. That means that all my old friends officially use the correct name and pronouns and I'm stealth everywhere else. Finally.

My friend is acting like a little girl :icon_roll  I guess that's what happens when you come out as a girl for the very first time  I'm just really proud of her

My father is using the right pronouns like a boss. Name is going to take some time (he was the one who came up with it), but I am so damned proud of the efforts he is making.

A friend/acquaintance told me she would be at my side if I finally decide to come out. Even if I'm aware it's just words, it was very nice to hear it... She said it twice or three times btw...

... Maybe... Maybe I should do this... To finally empty the closet and get on with my (real) life...

It takes a lot of effort from parents. Congratulations in that huge step.

This was actually a few months ago, but this little kid (they couldn't have been more than about 7 or 8 years old) called me "sir". I was still trying to figure out my gender at the time, but it was an amazing feeling, especially since I wasn't even passing.

One of my experiences I felt awesome was the first time I went as the real me. Even though I couldn't walk really in heels. I kind of sort of studding my stuff. I felt great when the bar tender said. "Are you really, okay?" I responded by saying "Yes I'm really okay. By the way I love your mustache." That comment made me really happy. It was because he didn't see my 5 O'clock shadow.

Me and my friends were hearing the Billy Joel song about a piano man or something, and one of my friends jokingly said "yeah, piano man, sing us a song. Piano... Person, human... Piano!" I liked the correction he made :3

PS I play piano that's why the joke

so i had 4 days on my own with my son gone to visit his mother for New Years. so, other than work or visiting my parents, i was my female self. i wore my skirts, and tops (need more cute tops) etc. that i bought for myself for Christmas, and i was just me. it was just nice and right. on NYE i got all done up with my knit dress, hose, one of my favourite wigs, and had the tree lit, the fire in the fireplace, a nice glass of wine, watching the festivities in new york, and it hit me that i had the perfect romantic setting and i was all alone...... but i was her. i did eat a bunch of truffle chocolates but that's ok to on NYE. haha.

i am determined to be with people on NYE either as him or her.

I've stayed with my childhood friend and his family since Wednesday and ghey asked me right off the bat if I wanted them to adress me with my preferred name and pronouns yet and I said yes. So they've been calling me "Alice" and "she" without a single slipup--even their three year old son.

I also made a new years resolution to not be scared of what other people think of me, be they stranger, friend or family. As a result I finally changed my name on Facebook as well as my profile picture.
