Video games you'd like to see turned into movies or shows?

I think Team Fortress 2 would make a great comedy.

There was talks of Mass Effect movie in the past. I like to see TV series take place in ME universe... maybe during ME3 timeline. Fights all over the universe versus Reapers... despair, drama and hope.

Would be double sweet if Yvonne Strahovski could show up as Miranda Lawson on her search for Oriana.

Also, on a side note, there are a bunch of anime's that i'd like turned into movies. But... thinking about how such stuff has been done (both anime and games) in the past, i'm somewhat reluctant about expecting something like this. Anyone remember Postal? BloodRayne, etc...?

A Soul Reaver movie would be nice.

 

The Half-Life series would make an awesome TV-series or an overblown ridiculously long but ever so cool movie.

 

I'm still waiting for a sequel to the Super Mario Bros. movie, I love that movie-- don't judge me.

But I think the original Quake could make a good movie.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind a Mirror's Edge film, that would be nice, if it was filmed well. Borderlands would make a good action-comedy and FTL as a TV show

 

Team Fortress 2 would be hilarious and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 would make a great mystery/crime show.

 

I really want a Tales of Legendia anime. Just because the story is awesome, but the gameplay and presentation kinda suck.... In my opinion.

But I would rather a remake of the game.

I don't normally look at a game and say it should be a movie or show. If it makes a good game, then it is fine as a game. Why would I want to to experience it without the interactive element? It just won't be as fun. At least that is the way I see it.

There are exceptions though. If the protagonist is silent, then I am interested in seeing the story with the proganist given character. Because it brings something new to the story that I didn't get in game. But there are are no games that comes to mind that I really want to see like that right now though. I saw the first Persona 3 movie, and it was awesome. And they made Persona 4 as well. Which I have yet to see. But I would like to.

 

Eh, I'd like to see them give Infamous a shot. Or my dream far cry 3 movie with michael mando cast as liveaction!vaas

Mostly because I love disney and it's a fun and creative game with a great story. Disney could make millions. It would be a better movie that a tv show though.

O, man I love this game. With either a tv show or movie we can get to know are favorite killer even more.

To The Moon

By far one of the most creative and heart felt games I've played in ages. It's sad and unique story drives this game with confidence. I replay the heck out of this game just to see the ending of the game over and over. I'm proud to call it the titanic of games.

 

I think there was a Legend of Zelda cartoon a long while back.

It just sucked. It sucked so bad it put vacuum cleaners to shame.

I'm with you on Kingdom Hearts and Five Nights at Freddy's.

 

Doesn't mean it can't be done well though, lol. There is Zelda manga. I read some of it. It seems pretty good actually.

 

True and I guarantee an anime of it would be better. I haven't read any of the manga though, I should probably check that out.

 

Dishonored

 

The Silent Hill films were a disappointment, but SH2 would actually make a better movie than the ones they used. It already has a good story to it, well developed characters etc.
