A friend of my ex-Brother in Law' believed you could tell a gay man by the number of pairs of shoes/footwear he owned. In his opinion, gay men owned over ten pairs, while straight men typically owned between five and seven pairs. A silly theory, I think. I'm the first to admit that I do own a lot of shoes, boots etc. (many more than my partner) so I'm not best placed to rubbish the theory. So, out of scientific interest .... how many pairs of shoes/footwear do you own? Join in if you are Lesbian, Bi, Trans as it will be interesting to see if this seemingly ridiculous idea has any credibility whatsoever.
I have four? pairs of shoes right now, I believe. I don't know where that lands genderqueer ol' me haha This stereotype is NOT true about gay men either  My brother is straight as can be and is like obsessed with shoes. He said if he won the lottery he'd buy a couple cool cars and and tons of shoes. So, there's that!
I have three, and I probably need to get one of my pairs of shoes swapped out for something newer. These ones I've had for 3 years and are starting to go on me (even if they are waterproof and comfortable). Wait, make that four...I do own a pair of Homer Simpson fuzzy slippers
Three pairs total, two pairs of sneakers that I wear regularly and one pair of shoes for formal occasions. Oh and my fuzzy indoor slippers
I have 1 pair of sandals and 2 pairs of sneakers. I don't really care about shoes at all though. My mom is constantly buying new shoes so if I need a pair I just take them from her.
I own about 7 pair of shoes, I don't care that much about shoes. Plus, most of them are old anyways, I usually regularly wear about 4 shoes througout the whole year.
I own one pair of sneakers and one pair of boots that I've had for years, so the stereotype doesn't work with me.
Let's see... New Converses Running Shoes Track Spikes Nice shoes Somewhat nice shoes Driving shoes Old sneakers Flip Flops 8 pairs at the moment. I must get more shoes
I had to count mine... Total, I have 22 pairs. That sounds bad, but when I broke it down it makes more sense... Sneaker/Canvas Shoes: 7 pairs. Dress Shoes for Work: 5 pairs. Semi-Formal Shoes (but I wouldn't wear these to work): 2 pairs. Running Shoes: 2 pairs. Dress Shoes/Formal: 2 pairs. Shoes That I can let get Messy/Wet: 2 pairs. Moccasins (because they're super comfy): 2 pairs. That's not including my sandals, hiking boots, snow boots, and rain boots. ...you know what? I may have a problem.
2 pairs: Normal shoes (maybe) "nice" shoes (never use them) I don't exactly care for shoes much. I don't get out very often.
Nine. How can you survive with two or even less pairs? I mean, what kind of clima do you have? Can you use same shoes in winter and summer? It's awesome
Only four pairs here: Work shoes, casual shoes, running shoes and walking boots. I'd like a few more pairs of casual shoe so I could alternate/reduce the wear and tear, and maybe some brown work shoes but I doubt I'll ever own more than eight pairs at any one time. Speaking of which I knew several (rich) straight men with massive shoe collections - over twenty pairs each! More money than sense, they had.
