Actually, I know you guys are right. I decided to retire the corset and belts for the rest of the day (and night), how about that? (Currently posting unstayed.) I also decided to finally eat something today, just to let you know. My coworkers sometimes take me out for these HUGE lunches during the workweek, so I often feel like I need to utterly starve myself on the weekends to compensate. When I think rationally about it, I know it's not a good practice...
-.- your minimum net calorie requirement is a function of height, weight, and activity level. If you are 5'8" or under, you can get by generally with 1200 but above that, you need more like 1400-1500.
Never counted calories in my life. Wouldn't have the slightest clue what a couple of frozen fish filets and a handful of french fries contained for calories. You're going to make me check the packaging, aren't you?
1400 is a good amount for someone trying to actively lose weight. If you do a fair bit of physical activity at all, I'd recommend upping that to about 2000. I barely do anything besides a bit of martial arts, and I eat upwards of 2200/day.
I have done this sometimes too. *sigh* Some days I feel like I can't stop eating, others I barely or don't eat at all, other days I'm fine. I am by no means underweight... in fact im slightly over *bleh* Idk why I do it. It just happens.
Thanks for the info! I just wish I didn't see so many chicks with babies walking around with better looking bodies than mine, but they probably got a shitton of surgery...
I struggled with bulimia a couple summers ago...it got to the point that I could not keep anything down. I was about 5'5 and weighed about 80lbs. It was really scary. Now I'm 5'8 and weigh about 140 lbs. And honestly could not be happier or feel any better
Yikes! My grandfather has type 2 diabetes, so that alone gives me enough risk. Thanks for the warning!
glad you made it out OK! ---------- Post added 27th Apr 2014 at 01:32 PM ---------- Yep and don't worry about other women's bodies. Ignore the magazine, which are photoshopped beyond belief anyway. Check your BMI and go with that above all else.
Yes, but I'm sorta technologically-challenged. Which might make you wonder how I'm able to make a decent living as a web developer--don't ask, lol. I'll look into what the Apple store has to offer on this front. ---------- Post added 27th Apr 2014 at 03:33 PM ---------- :smilewave fellow Georgia. Love your sig (and SND)! /off-topic queen
I know I'm (probably) cisgendered, but I saw this and was hoping for a bit of input. I'm 5'5 and 140. Weight charts say I'm the right weight for my age, but I don't think I am - my thighs/butt are chubby, and my stomach is rounded more than I am comfortable with it being. I know I could be making it up, but looking around here (eg 5'8 and 130.. All of you) I'm starting to think I'm not making it up at all. I don't exercise as much as I should, but i try to do pushups 2-3 days a week (unfortunately modified since my arms are pretty damn weak) and occasionally plank, in addition to walking to school 1km each way with my school stuff and gym class at school. Do you guys have any recommendations? :/
5'5" and 140 sounds perfectly fine to me! But if you want to lose some weight, counting calories seems to work well. As for exercise, cardio cardio cardio!
Yay! Georgians FTW~! (!) /also off topic ---------- Post added 27th Apr 2014 at 11:46 AM ---------- I agree. I used to ride a bicycle ALL THE TIME and it really helped even out my legs. Anything that gets your heart pumping is good.
