I don't think we're allowed to post our last names on here though I do like what I've been hearing so far...
I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about my name as far as the last goes. I could keep it as is which is my dad's last name, or I could take my mother's maiden name...but putting it together doesn't sound good. I've considered going with my pen name which is Browning (tribute to the director Tod Browning), but I noticed if I did that my name would be an unintentional homage to a movie character. I'm also giving it a lot of thought of if I should change my last name to Browning and hyphening my name when I get married (I intend on taking my fiance's last name) since he said it's common to do that in Hispanic cultures or if I should just say screw the pen name and take his name right off the bat. I question this since we're in no rush to get married and our states are still making baby steps for marriage equality (oddly, Texas is ahead of the game and not Pennsylvania) and if all goes well, I could get my name changed this year possibly and it has me troubled.
I know I'm going to know the name when I read it, see it, or hear it. I just haven't done any of those things yet. Mildly frustrating but I know I'll eventually find it...
You will! Speaking of which, do you think it's appropriate if I altered the way my last name is spelt? That way it would sound the same but there'd be more letters to even out the name. I wouldn't actually go and change it, but I was thinking "Jamie"->my actual English name+something else (Could be my Chinese given name but that's blah.) Suggestions?

in my family, middle names always come from a relative for girls (usually grandmother or great aunt -- that's how i got stuck with my awful middle name) and then we have a couple of middle names that alternate generations for the boys. it makes deciding names a bit easier, imo do you have any relatives you like enough to take a name after?
Stop gloating, you two... ---------- Post added 7th May 2014 at 08:47 AM ---------- This and Peyton Terese are my two favorites!
