Hey guys! First off, I want to say that I hope the title doesn't offend anyone, I am just trying to get specific responses from specific people. Now, on to the question! Okay, so, if any of you are planning on getting married, have already gotten married, or someday want to get married, which would you rather wear, a tux, or a dress? I'm somewhat conflicted on this, because I'm sort of a mix, if that makes any sense. I've always dreamed about that day, you know being escorted by your dad down the aisle in the huge white dress, however, I also adore tuxes, suspenders, bow ties, and all of that stuff, besides the fact that I've never felt comfortable in a dress or skirt. So I was just curious to see what you all thought. ---------- Post added 12th Dec 2013 at 01:14 PM ---------- Okay, I'll be honest, this was mainly brought on by the fact that I have been sorta obsessing over the les wedding boards on Pinterest lately. XD
Well given that choice, dress any day of the week. I will never. EVER. EVER wear a suit. I hate them so much!! A pretty dress would suit me fine. But if I got to choose, I would love to have my own custom made Kimono to get married in :3 They look so good and they feel lovely and I think I'd look pretty!
I think you can only add one in the time window for editing a post. If you tell me what options to do, I can make it for you. Let's see, would the options "dress", "suit", "casual", and "other" be good?
Yep. Chances are, my partner and the registrar would be the only ones there lol. I've been to a wedding before, and it wasn't fun.
Last time I wore a dress was at my high school graduation 10 years ago. You can tell I'm not a huge fan of that, they're too uncomfortable. Dresses usually imply that you wear high heels. In a long dress, I'd be tripping so bad in those shoes since it's not something I normally wear. I could wear one if it was unavoidable, but I'd rather wear something more casual. There has to be some blouse + trousers combination that is acceptable. I doubt I'll ever get married though. Same sex marriage is not even legal here.
See I think I'd have to have the big poofy dress and then change later, 'cause it's not like you ideally get married that often...
I would wear a tux mainly because I look and feel bad ass in one. If I had the money I would be a suit and tie person all day everyday and truthfully the last time I wore a dress was when I was 13 and just the memory of it makes me want to gag.
seconded, I wear nothing but skirts, I have two skorts :bang: :dead: geez why have a ceremony, go to the office get a license and sign the paper, don't even get anyone to say anything, just have two witnesses I want to pull out all the stops next time, fancy white dress for me, she can wear a dress or tux depending on her taste but we are doing it up right.
I'm not very comfortable in dresses, and I wear suits when I have to dress formally, so probably a suit.
I'm a dress girl. The fact that it's winter and pants are the warmest clothing option kills me. I would wear a dress all year if I could.
