Got up at 7:30 for my 8:00 AM class. It's not even noon here, and yet it feels like 3:00.

 

It was advertising soft-close seats.

Oh? Are you another aspiring polyglot? I'm surprised at the number of people on EC who are also interested in language.

Russian is superb, and I enjoyed learning it thoroughly, even if just the basics. It's elegant and foreign, yet complex, but not impossibly so.

I'd like to get back to learning one day, but with other priorities and hobbies, it might have to wait. At the moment, school, guitar, and Spanish should take precedence.

 

Well, nothing I've ever heard of... But man. This'll be like halitosis. They've invented the new issue- closing seat castration- and man, it's enough for me to toss out the old seat.

My mom was the same way about me learning Arabic. Honestly, Arabic is a beautiful language. Too bad everyone's all "But they'll think you're a terrorist or something!"

So, there's this jacket I tend to wear around the farm. Red, maybe a little ratty, but huge. Really boxes out my frame. Started adopting it to wear to campus and man. It's fucking fantastic.

I mean, I know it sounds stupid but it's done a lot in making my life a little easier. I wear it and it doesn't matter how I'm presenting- first glance you can hardly tell what I am under it.

Like, if I'm careful, I might be able to avoid ever having to change in the women's room again for the rest of the semester.

 

My sensible, level-headed daughter rarely asks for anything so extreme that I have to say "no" to her. So it's tough (and unexpected) when she goes so completely off target that I have to rein her in....

My mother started a new job for the first time today, and has found that she was lied to when deciding whether or not to take the job, and won't be allowed to do the thing that was agreed. She has no written record of this. Now, it interferes with this high paying teaching thing she does three times a month, to the point where it would be more economical to go back to her old job.

She is currently telling my dad. I am hiding.

 

From what I've seen from Let's Plays, yes.
