What songs were you listening to before they were popularized Can't Hold Us- Macklemore feat. Ray Dalton Radioactive- Imagine Dragons
Same Love by Macklemore And I second Radioactive. Listened to the whole album before they aped half of it on the radio.
Can't hold us was one, I remember I heard it back in 2011, then everyone started talking about it this year -_- Also Tom Odell - Another Love and Can't Pretend although he isn't hugely popular yet.
I guess you're talking about their newer stuff and I really don't wanna sound like a bitch, but Daft Punk is like, super cult. Their first album charted in '97 I'm going with Two Door Cinema Club and White Lies. Had some stuff of them on my laptop before their first albums were released. Edit: this thread also reminded me of THIS.
I had a chance to see Adele before anyone really knew who she was. But I was cheap and stubborn, so I missed my chance. She was playing at a really small venue in Salt Lake City. The tickets were $8.00, but the ticket vendor was charging a $4.00 surcharge per ticket. I decided to wait and get tickets at the door. When I got there, they were sold out.
I remember seeing Katie Perry before she was popular (though I didn't particularly like her). However, that's it. I'm pretty mainstream. I'm more or less the person who finds out about bands super late, they lose fad status, but I still listen to them long after everyone else has quit.
Rumour Has It and Set Fire to the Rain by Adele. I knew all the words (from playing it over and over in my room) by the time the radio was playing it.
