apparently if you have a long ring finger you are a lesbian or at least more likely a lesbian, is this true or what? my ring finger is just over "Normal" size (I think) what about all of you care to add to this?
Mine are the same length, I don't think it's terribly reliable. I'd be interested in a poll showing how many people's fingers match their sexuality. Wait a second, one of my ring fingers is longer and the other is shorter. Maybe this means bi? ...Lolz
Oh, I know what you mean! I'm MTF, but my fingers are the proper male length. Can't trust science for anything these days, can we?
Wait a fucking second, I have a longer nail on my non-conforming pointer finger. Could it be... Edit: success! Hahaha my hands are insta-gay!
In Hemlock Grove-verse, I think it means you are a werewolf...or does it have to be the same length as the middle finger? I don't know about the gay thing, though. Mine isn't long. If either theories/myths are true, I'm honestly only bummed about the werewolf bit.
This is just like the left handed debate over sexuality. Inconclusive, for the most part. There's even one about a hair whorl, a term I've never heard before.
Oooh! I can explain. Longer ring finger = more testosterone received in the womb Longer first finger = more estrogen It's a theory that homosexuality is dependent on abnormalities in the hormones you receive in the womb. Us lesbians perhaps get more testosterone, while the gays might get more estrogen.
I don't think this is that accurate, if accurate at all. I realize that I'm not a lesbian but... I do have an identical twin. He's straight and I'm gay. Furthermore, my pointer/index finger is shorter than my ring finger, so according to Leutheria's theory, it wouldn't be an indicator of my sexuality.
I have an identical straight twin, too. Actually she might be bi. Yeah, it's probably not at all reliable. The article I read described it as more of a group thing - "on average, gays have fingers such and such" and etc. Wasn't even a terribly large average difference. Males do. In females they're usually equalish.
