I have been playing guitar, for a little less than a year. I own an acoustic (Rosaline/Rose), and an electric (Ivory/Ivy), and I've been playing the tin whistle (Maeve)for a day lol. Since a lot people don't know what that is: Eluveitie - Hope - YouTube If you were wondering about the parenthesis: I name my instruments ._.
Trombone and banjo, working on piano. Used to play several others but haven't played for many years (including tin whistle). Eluveitie is awesome! I saw them when they came to LA with Amon Amarth.
I've been playing the piano on and off for about three years now and I brought a acoustic guitar a few weeks ago (impulse purchase) and I plan to teach myself. The problem however, is that I can't tune it. I start when I get around to buying a electronic tuner to help me.
I used to play the french horn! Oh man, I miss it! I've been trying to teach myself the piano but it hard--I don't have the fingers for it lol
Cello, violin and piano with varying degrees of ability. Cello and violin I've actually played in orchestras (no solos, I was just good enough to be background noise ) and piano... piano is all about making a bit of a noise now and then. The only relevance to any of that is that I can actually play the cello and violin, but the piano I "play". I'm itching to play the acoustic guitar, namely as father had one brought for him as a present and he's yet to even touch it. It's begging out to be tuned and loved...
don't worry I can't tune my without a tuner either XD and if you have an ipod touch, ipad, or smart phone they are several guitar tuning apps
Piano (I've played for over 12 years) and the flute! (I've played the flute for over 6). I'm slowly picking up the guitar - acoustic - and I know a few chords. I'd love to get better at singing, too.
Guitar, both classical and electric. I have a Fender acoustic, Yamaha classical, and two electrics: Ibanez Artcore AFS75T (it's my baby), and a Fender CS '50s Stratocaster in surf green. I work at a music shop, so I have a lot of effect pedals and amps that I've collected over the years. I've been playing for about 6 years now. I also play the drums, I have a Pearl 4-Piece Shell Pack. I've been playing for about 2 years, I started learning it in my band class at school and now am a main drummer for my school's band.
I name my instruments as well! I play the guitar(Jeffrey), piano(Ray - after the ingenious Ray Charles), and harmonica(Hugh, Doug, and Cash). I am currently learning to play the viola, as well, but I have yet to gather the money to purchase one.
Violin, drums, little piano, even less guitar, and the xylophone. Kinda a side note: I’ve played this weird instrument (I forgot the name) where you use the presence of your body and hands hovering near the instrument. It's kinda got a tuning fork on it, and is REALLY hard to make sound nice. I played with it at the Musical Instrument Museum in Arizona and did REALLY well.
I play the cello and sax (alto and bari) pretty well. I can play the keyboard and guitar, but I'm not especially good at either. Singing is painful, for me and the listener.
