C'mon, well all have a weird way we speak to our pets... what is yours? Here's the way I do it: ####### | Voice message I was laughing because she was using her snout to dig into my armpit as I held her on the couch. I love my dog. Oh here's a cute picture of her: My laugh is a little weird....
LoL I guess it's an animal lover thing, I do talk softly and kiddy to My dog, as if she was my baby! LoL, and I love to lay on the ground besides her whenever I feel depressed, somehow I get healed xD She always have some nice things to say(a.k.a. Licking)! But still love her! PS: And your laugh Was so funny!
I talk to my cat as though he were my equal. I see him as something of a therapist with whom I just happen to share a bed. With the dogs I encounter however, I always revert to infantilizing them. They get what my sisters dubbed my "Sharon Osbourne impression". I also talk to chickens in this way (I live on a farm). The cows I speak to as though they were fellow humans, but every so often so as not to seem rude I'll throw in something pertaining to the bovine species.
Heres how I talk to dogs: "Awww what a cutie little coochie-coo, awww look at the widdle tail, awwww!" Heres how I talk to cats: "What's your fucking problem, why the hell don't you love me as much as I love you?" Essentially one-sided conversations... King x
I would actually be really embarrassed to record the way I talk to my two budgies and post it on here. It almost borders on the point of not being human.
I talk to my kitty like she's my baby And I give her a ton of nicknames, I'm pretty sure I give her a new one everyday haha. Look at her!!
Oh Lord..I talk to my animals in funny ways lol that I wouldn't want anyone to hear. I talk to my dogs and cats like they're babies. They each have their own personality and I give them nicknames. I talk to my dog and cats like babies but to my horses, donkey, and goat I talk to them in a different way.
I think I've retired my "pet-talking voice" now, but it usually included a lot of "Heya buddyyy" 's Plus his nickname was Budder... so buddy just went along with that.
I talk to my cats as I'd talk to a small child. There's a lot of enunciation, it's a bit higher pitched, and a mild sing-songy quality, but it's not baby talk. Unless it's snuggle time. Snuggle time can afford to have a little bit of baby talk. I talk to my guinea pigs in a softer lower voice, because it makes them feel calmer. There's also oodles of non-verbal communication.
I talk to my cat the way I talk to people here. Like, "Oi! Whatchoo want Kätzchen? Yes, I see you're a cat, now kindly get the fluff outta my face, I'm tryin' to do something."
For what it's worth, my brother came up with that nickname. And it has NOTHING to do with his actual name, so I have no idea where he/we came up with it xD
I do total baby talk, I go Ace Ventura and say "Ushy boo boo" One of my dogs is deaf (the black and white one, look at the picture in my album if you want) so I mostly do hand motions with her, but I still throw in the baby talk
Cat: "Hey Buddy! Come back, I wanna pet you! Why do you hate me...? Dog: "Hey Buddy! Awh, you're such a cute doggy! I love you! I call any animal I ever meet Buddy... I'd record me talking to them, but I'm sick and can't speak... I do that a lot too!
