I remember I told one of my cousin's best friends who he considers a brother and with time, I came to see him as another cousin. Me: "Hey I got something I want to tell you." L: "Whats up?" I mean I knew you had some "ways" but I didn't think you were.....Who turned you out?!" -in a super over-excited and loud tone that echoed softly down the block- Me: :eek:-:roflmao: Then there was the time with my mother which came about after a conversation about my eldest nephew, whom I strongly assume will be a homosexual. Me: "I don't know. I feel like I should have helped more since his life seemed like a slightly altered re-run of mine and if i'm right, he's really going to need help for the hell ahead." Mom: "What does that mean?..." Me: "He's going to be different from everyone else around him and unfortunately, if he's truly like I was, he's going to know why and feel so powerless most of the time." Mom: "You got something you want to tell me?" Me: "Actually....How can I say this. I'm Gay." Mom: "No, you're not." Me: (after initial :roflmao: ) "Excuse me?" Mom: "I said you're not. You just think you are. You've made friends with so many gay people, you think you are." Me: "My friends are Lesbians mom so that logic holds no weight. If anything, I should like girls because i'm with them." Mom: "Mhmmm. You're not gay though." -continues flipping through magazines- I left her room unsure of whether I had come-out of the closet or thrown myself deeper into it.

My parents told my brother this weekend...his response was "okay...cool...as long as she's happy. But you do know I'm going to call her and bust her ass for not telling me herself...she will have to pay for that!" My mom called to "brace" me for his call...I about died laughing. My brother is one of the most blunt people I know...and I fully expect to no told what's what in short order...lol
I came out to a friend the other night. We were in a car driving somewhere and the conversation went: Me: I'm bisexual. Her: Oh... okay. (silence) Me: Don't worry, I'm not going to hit on you or anything. You're an awesome friend, but I don't feel that way about you. Her: Well I knew that. If you were going to hit on me you would have done it by now. The conversation had been over and I hadn't realized it. I'd said it in a very low key manner, like "hey, just so you know" not the "I have a huge secret!!!!" way. It was really cool.
Ok as you can see I'm only out to a few people (not parents yet...) but when I came out o one of my friends (who I'm not gonna lie, is a bit odd) he said "you shared something so now I feel like I have to share something" then he licked the palm of his hand and wipes it down my face... Prob not the write place to ask a question now but can that in any way be perceived as a normal reaction?? Feel disgusting just thinking about it eughh :eek:

My funniest reaction happened last night actually. I was eating dinner with a couple of my siblings including my 10 year old sister, she was talking about what my life was going to be like when I grew up. Aside from things like my career and such, she also said I would have a husband and three kids. I said, 'What makes you think I'd marry a guy?' Her eyes got huge and her mouth dropped open, 'Are you a, a LESBIAN?!' Some of my other siblings (who all knew already) started cracking up quietly. I just kinda raised my eyebrows at her and grinned. She sat back in her chair and kind of thought about it for a couple minutes and then leaned close to me and whispered, "Am I the only one who knows? Just wait until I tell Ellen (One of my other sisters and the first person I came out to) she has no idea! I can't believe I figured it out' At this the entire table erupted in laughter, 'You're a little late!' One of my brother's laughed, 'You're kind of the last to know!' Which is the truth really, it's not like I ever really hid it, most people figured it out pretty quick. It was so funny though to watch her total confusion and passionate belief that if she hadn't known, than nobody else could have.
