It's a tie for me between Final Fantasy IX and VII. Honorable mentions would be Earthbound, The Ocarina of Time, and Chrono Trigger.
I honestly think after playing Nier: Automata that it deserves a place on my list near the very tippy top.
I can't decide between Splatoon, 1bitheart, Overwatch, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red & Blue. They're all pretty great esp 1bitheart and Overwatch <3
Whatever happened to Spyro? I loved him. Nothing more fun than playing a tiny purple dragon. Brought back memories of Croc too. Ahh the good old days when what you bought was all there was none of this DLC or post release patching. Sticking with the same era Final Fantasy VIII is my favourite and the first I played and I kinda wanted to be Squall. He reminded me so much of myself, very standoffish and didn't want to get close to be people.
I've played some Spyro games on the GameCube(Enter the dragonfly and A new beginning), but now, the last game I saw with Spyro was that new Skylanders series, which are not worth the money
The Gamecube/PS2 games weren't that good either. You wanna see Spyro in its golden era, play the three first ones for Playstation 1. Those are the games that made me a gamer.
The Legend of Zelda, 100%. More specifically, Ocarina of Time. By the way, Breath of the Wild looks amazing too.
Sly Cooper 2 Band Of Thieves that was my jam when i was younger, that and Spyro: year of the dragon Both of those where pure perfection in my mind.
I am more into RPG!! like Skyrim, Dragon Age series, Kingdoms of Amalur! I also played strategy games like Civilization V and VI, Victoria II and Europa Universalis IV. But I can never forget PS1's Legend of Dragoon.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon was the shit. I literally still play it sometimes. Though when I was a kid, I sank hundreds of hours into the game.
I will post three mini reviews of games that I think deserve equal ranking: OFF: Spoiler Play this game. If you like Undertale, play this game. If you like games like Ib and the Crooked Man, play this game. If you like surrealist situations and very odd but catchy music (Pepper Steak is one of my favorite video game songs ever), play this game. I can't say much else with out spoiling it just PLAY THE GAME IT'S FREE DO IT NOW Portal: Spoiler One of the most clever and unique puzzle games out there. Wonderfully droll sense of humor and wonderful challenge. I've played it five times all the way through this year alone. It's a short game, but it's well worth the money. To The Moon: Spoiler Do you like to cry? This game may do that. It's a story about a group of scientists reconstructing a dying man's memory to send him to the moon. You do that by rooting around in his memory. I won't tell you anymore than that. It isn't free, but the game is well worth the price tag.
