I do not know if this was already posted, but here it is! I love this song, it makes me laugh every time. "If you're straight, well that's great, You can help procreate. And make gay little babies for the whole human race"
I HOPE this doesn't violate the rule about no contact to YouTube. It appears that others have posted YT vids. Jackie Evancho is a young (now 15) singer who first gained attention on America's Got Talent 5 years ago. Given her genre (classical crossover) & image, she's gained a lot of older, conservative, Christian fans. Her older sibling is in the process of transitioning to female. As a tribute to her, Jackie included this vid with her latest song, All of the Stars (an Ed Sheerhan cover). It seems to have upset a lot of her more conservative fans. I'm new here, so I hope it's OK to maybe ask for some support for her here - maybe some yes votes, positive votes & sharing? I apologize in advance if I'm out of line. Here's the vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmmSYvShuCc
So I read through this ENTIRE thread and want to add, Shoot Your Arrow by Kacey Musgraves (which was popular a few years ago for being an openly LGBT country song) and I know a lot of people have mentioned A GReat Big World for Everyone is Gay, but you should also check out Hold Each Other, the second chorus is gender changed so that male singer could have it be true as well. I love that it is becoming more and more acceptable for mainstream music to be LGBT based.
Judas Priest - Raw Deal. Perhaps the first heavy metal gay rights song ever recorded, all the way back in 1977. Just a killer track, and with lyrics like those it's no wonder Halfords sexuality wasn't exactly a secret among priest fans
There is a song called jessie by ivri lider a openly gay israeli singer.it basically talks about a gay guy being in love with a straight guy who is in love with a girl named chelsea. i sort of love this song becuz even thou am a lesbian but i can relate to the song because have been in love\had a crush on a straight girl before.plus i also love ivri's voice and the song's beat.
No matter what, when "Closer" by Tegan and Sara comes on, I lose my shit. Also,I was in a Starbucks with my father in Austin, Tx this summer and I was just sitting there reading my book and sipping tea. When this song started to play called "Boys in the street" and I remember I just had to hide my face in my book because by the end of the song I was bawling.
Is there any songs about liking someone, but not knowing whether they're straight or not, when you're gay..? If that makes sense?
Kiss and not tell- La Roux Pretty sure this would qualify as LGBT themed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8axiZqKkcw ---------- Post added 30th Sep 2015 at 10:13 PM ---------- Jenny- Studio Killers. Apart from that I don't think I know any others with that theme.
LGBT by Lowell has recently become one of my favourites. Lowell is openly bisexual, so I'm not surprised she would make some songs centred around LGBT themes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgE6nZmTGLw Also her song Cloud 69 has similar themes as well (this is my personal fave off her album): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-koPovVlJ0
Many Smiths and Morrissey songs that haven’t been mentioned yet, including: This Charming Man Reel Around the Fountain I Want the One I Can’t Have Shoplifters of the World, Unite Shelia Take a Bow Lucky Lisp Piccadilly Palare I Am Hated For Loving I Can Have Both
This next song's just about a lesbian, not from the point of view of someone LGBT+ but I think it's a cute song. The chorus is "So if you want my advice, don't let it go to your head, she's the kind of a girl who wants a girl in her bed. You can give her your heart, she wants your sister's instead. Better forget about Joni":
