I'm not super active here (though I'm going to try to be more) but I wanted to post about a personal milestone; I finally came out to my mother over Christmas. She was the last person who I wasn't out to. It went better than I thought it would, and even though she's still not accepting of it, she's not making things difficult for me like I worried she might.
I mean, she still has religious objections (she's very conservative) but there haven't been suggestions of conversion therapy, and no passive aggressive comments about it when we speak, so she's handling it pretty well, considering
Congrats! You've been very brave. I hope that your mother starts to accept you they way you are. In fact, you're the same person you were before coming out. Probably, she'll need some time to process the information. Anyway, if I were you, I would be so proud of myself.

I guess trying to find my way into a relationship? I'm way behind on that front, but I really have no excuses left now lol *gives nervous sideeye to the massive pile of hangups tucked away in vacated closet* ...yikes.
