As far as I know (and I think I know enough about acupuncture to answer this), acupuncture is not going to have enough of an effect on pituitary hormones to have any impact on gender identity. If it did, there would be data on it, as acupuncture has been studied for 5,000 years. It sounds like someone is trying to scam you.
as well as acupuncture has prospered within a hundred years ago before acupuncture has not much something to assert but I myself have regarded how some incurable diseases have been treated through acupuncture! acupuncture works with internal energies so perhaps it can be possible, I hope!
Yes, I am aware of how acupuncture works, and its effectiveness in treating some disorders. However, as I said before, There is -zero- evidence that acupuncture could possibly have enough of an effect on pituitary hormones to act as a hormone blocker or enhancer to replace medications used by transpeople. That's simply delusional. It is not possible.
The only thing that I can find with a simple Google search is that acupuncture can be used to treat the side effects of HRT, not the hormones themselves.
You'll get no disagreement from anyone with any compassion on that point. The oppression and isolation of trans individuals is an enormous problem. Unfortunatelly the oppression and isolation of trans people isn't going to be helped by acupuncture.
Well, considering that we have a bunch of medications, sophisticated surgeries, and other means of effectively treating gender dysphoria, I would say that science and technology are already doing a pretty phenomenal job of addressing the issue.
