I know I will never get a definitive answer to this because gender and identity are subjective to everyone, but in your own opinion/words what is the difference between being non-binary and genderfluid. I've always been between a rock and a hard place trying to decide if I'm non-binary or really genderfluid.
Technically, non-binary is an umbrella term that encompasses anyone who doesn't identify as exclusively a man or a woman. Since gender-fluid people don't exclusively identify as men or women, they are also non-binary. Long story short, all gender-fluid people are non-binary, but not all non-binary people are gender-fluid. However, if someone chooses to identify as non-binary without choosing a specific label, this has a more gender-neutral connotation, whereas if someone identifies as gender-fluid, people may expect them to be all over the place when it comes to gender.
To me Non Binary is somebody that feels like neither and Genderfluid is somebody that feels both male and female just my 2 cents
I've been wondering about this myself. My future son-in-law identifies as gender fluid, but uses he/him.
Gender fluid people may switch between pronouns according to how they feel. Gender fluidity is one aspect of the non-binary spectrum. Non-binary gender identity is simply one term that may be used to describe individuals who may experience a gender identity that is neither exclusively male or exclusively female or is in between or even beyond both genders. Non-binary may also identify as gender fluid, who is a person who does not necessarily identify themselves as having fixed gender. Gender fluid people may experience shifts or changes in gender. Gender fluid is moving from male to female over time and mood and feeling that both gender identities make up who you are as a person.
Ah, this makes a lot more sense actually. So yes, just as I am non-binary I am also trans, so this applies to genderfluid people to.
Question, is someone still gendefluid is someone fluxiates between, lets say male/female/and other genders beyond the binary?
Yes they can still be gender fluid. It's not limited and depends on the person and how they feel. Gender fluidity can look different for different people.
