I went to my high school prom. The girl was not my girlfriend, and I was not her boyfriend. She wanted to go and I didn’t really care, but my best friend was going with a girl and I thought we would probably hang out together with our other friends. We all had a good time. The highlight of the evening was going all dressed up to KFC after the prom.
At the time I was in high school only male/female couples could go to the prom. I had a girlfriend then and the school said a female could not go. They stuck with their decision. My good friend who played on the defensive line for our football team wasn’t going but instead took us both as his dates. I found out the football team could get away with all sorts of things. We all went and when we got there I was with my girlfriend for the rest of the prom
I did go to both proms, school and sixth form. This is was in the UK. Only a few people went as couples, which was mostly those with boyfriends or girlfriends. The vast majority went in friendship groups. I went with a mixed group of five friends. For the sixth form one, we all arrived separately so didn’t go together as such.
Spent the last years of highschool in a programme that's similar to homeschooling, unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to go to prom, not like there was one anyway.
I wish my class throwed a prom of some kind. Whenever the university in our city did hosted their spring proms, everybody looked so beautiful in their formal clothings. I just wished I could be part of 'em and enjoy the formal festivities there(A)
Yes I went to both of mine at our school and went to a few at other schools.this was way back in the 80's and early 90's though. Always boy/girl and a WHOLE lot cheaper!! Crazy thing is I don't even dance, but I can hold a good conversation so all that don't dance or ditched dates sat at the tables with me and we had a really good time
Lol! After one of our proms we went and terrorized Walgreens and rode on their baby sized carts... Good times lol
Hello All.....I went to prom when I was a senior. After the date my best friend and I took our dates out for a late dinner to a fancy restaurant. We both drove separately, he was driving in front. A skunk crossed the road in front of his car and his car threw it right into the front of my car! We had to ditch my car and continue on with all of us in his car. We still got some funny looks when we got to the restaurant! .....David
I went to the Irish equivalent. It got embarrassing way before because I found out from a girl in my school a guy planned to ask me. I went to an all girls school and had never met the guy. At a sports day all three secondary schools attended ( all boys, all girls and co-ed) there was something being talked about but I had no idea what. At one point a girl I didn’t know sat down next to the friend I was with asked had it happened yet and who was I anyway. There was over 50 people watching him ask me and me asking him in return to mine. 3 schools worth of teens were discussing it and most didn’t even know me. Many people got robbed at my Debs because the travellers who left our school at 12 asked to attend. They weren’t at the boys Debs and nothing was stolen. Okay food and almost everyone except me was underage drinking. We were all 16-17. The guy who asked me basically ignored me for both of them.
Fortunately for me, we don't do high school proms in my country. The day of our high school graduation, there was a dinner for the students and teachers. I didn't go and, now, some years later, I regret not have gone.
I went to my girlfriend's senior prom, it wasn't my thing. Skipped going to any of the prom or dances at might school because I couldn't stand most of my classmates in the first place.
i didn't go to mini prom as it's called here but i am going to prom this saturday and i am not thrilled at all. have planned to just drink sooo
I never went to any dances or high school prom. I didn’t care for school, and most people anyways so the less I saw of them the better. I also did high school online. They did have a prom, but it costed a whole $15 to get in, and I didn’t know anyone so I was like eh, why bother.
