It is always boring for me when a game is easy. So, I usually like to choose the "very hard" difficulty level or something like that. I just wanted to know if anyone do the same. Which difficulty level do you normally choose in video games? Why?
I always choose the hardest difficulty it'll allow me to select... Challenging is more fun to me and I feel more accomplished when completing it. Not to mention a lot of games have trophies/achievements for completion on highest difficulty, so bonus points.
Good point. Hardest levels make you frustrated and angry. That's like me. I want something to challenge me. It's really satisfying when I beat them after all failures and difficulties.
Depends on the game and how I feel. If It's a survival game I'll either have it on normal or hard because I'm really into those sorts of games. If it's a game I'd sort of take interest in but don't care for, I'll probably go with easy because I don't care to put much effort in. If I'm playing a game with a friend, it can range from normal, hard, to very hard.
For shooting games, I choose the easy one so I could play longer and see where the game leads to. For Scrabble online, I only like to play again with those who always beat me. Otherwise, I lose interest on the game if I keep winning.
Easy/Normal/Medium depending on the game. I like to have fun gaming and not get pissed off trying to beat something on the hardest setting. Hell, sometimes I am a dumbass and cant even beat something on easy so the simpler time I have playing the more fun I have
I struggle with the puzzle games sometimes. Or like in Assassin’s Creed where someone’s going up is an option I’ll forget.
Uhm yea the souls series kinda instilled a masochistic personality for me when playing video games. So I put that shit on max difficulty and bang my head against a wall for the entirety of the games duration.
I generally start on whatever the default difficulty is, so usually Normal. I may adjust it later if it's too easy, and I usually choose a harder difficulty when I play them again.
First time runs, I also go with how the game was intended to be played. Most times that's the "Normal" difficulty.
I typically start a new game on normal. If it's a series or a sequel, I may up it to Hard or more difficult if I'm familiar with the game. If the game is good enough to replay, the difficulty always goes up in replay.
For action games, I choose easy since my hand-eye coordination isn't the best. For simulations, I tend to go for a moderate difficulty because I am better at those but don't want something super hard because then it gets frustrating and video games are supposed to be relaxing.
