Amidst all the depressing and sad stuff going on in the news today, the LGBT+ community made a great new step yesterday! The Prom (a freaking amazing musical) was performing and included the first gay kiss aired on the parade. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/macys-parade-2018-gay-kiss_us_5bf6d42fe4b0eb6d930c8577
I didn't watch the parade this year, but I saw stuff about that later, that's pretty cool! And of course all the crazy right-wingers are losing their minds and screaming about corrupting the children. It's actually rather amusing to watch them go nuts over a little kiss. But this was so cool! Good for them, and Macy's for going ahead with this.
GreenRun, I know this is a bit random and off topic but, honest question, I am from the deep south (so not much lgbtq+ representation), I would honestly love an explanation of the whole genderqueer thing because I have no idea what it is. sorry if this sounds rude or dumb, I'm only 14 and it's 1 am right now so I'm not all that fresh. thanks
It's late here too, so I'll give you the abridged version. Basically, I don't feel like I am either a man or a woman. I don't fit neatly into either of society's binary boxes, so I am non-binary, which is often used as a synonym for genderqueer. I am neither gender, but still feel that I have a gender (meaning I'm not agender) just one that is separate from the binary choices of man and woman.
